Friday morning Pixie Paints became Pirate Pixie for a special themed Storytime at Riccarton House & Bush ! 🏴‍☠️📚✨

A huge thank you to all my wee crew for keeping storytime wonderfully ship-shape. There were stories, giggles, pirate fun, and Pixie even got to meet the Mayor of Christchurch!

Then Saturday morning was spent celebrating Harry’s 2nd birthday Messy Mates - Sensory & Developmental Play 🎨🎉
What a fabulous couple of hours — especially painting your brother, Mum, and Dad too! I absolutely love when the grown-ups join in the fun.
Thank you for another magical weekend of stories, smiles, and painty adventures 💕

This Friday from 10:30am–11:00am, Pixie Pirate will be bringing a magical Pirate Storytime to the beautiful grounds of Riccarton House & Bush!

Pixie Paints had the most incredible time taking part in Ōtautahi’s Archaeology Festival.

A huge thank you to Heritage NZ for having me involved in such a special event.

Working alongside archaeologists and organisations including Canterbury Museum, The Antarctic Heritage Trust, Christchurch City Libraries, Riccarton House and Kate Sheppard House was an absolute dream.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to step outside the usual face painting themes and explore a thoughtful creative brief and design process inspired by history, archaeology, storytelling, and heritage.

It was inspiring, challenging, educational, and genuinely one of the most rewarding events I’ve been part of. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to support, chat, and wear a little piece of history. ✨

Canterbury Museum will be joining, Heritage New Zealand, Christchurch City Libraries, Riccarton House, Kate Sheppard House and teams of local archaeologists for a day celebrating the joys of finding cool stuff underground.

Pixie Paints never tires of wearing her Princess crown!
It was particularly special when family members shared a birthday and celebrated Elsie turning 4 with Otis turning 2, which was a monumental occasion.
A fabulous autumn morning provided the perfect backdrop for celebrating with an entourage of little princesses for Elsie and diggers/construction for Otis.
Much fun was had with a full house of guests! Thanks so much Amanda for having me.
