A cancelled concert in Auckland and a cancelled wedding this week turned into a much more relaxed few days of cruising around, catching up with family and eating lots of yummy food. 🥂🍴❤️

“Life is what happens to you when you’re busy making other plans” and I truly believe that. It’s funny how life keeps reminding me of it! 😂

As a marriage celebrant, I’m all about celebrating the plans that come together… but also remembering that sometimes, the best moments are the ones you never planned for. 🤍✨

Public Service Announcement🔔

‼️Today, the Department of Internal Affairs has announced a fee increase for its Births, Deaths, Marriages and Relationships (BDM) services and products.

From 18 June 2026, the prices for most services will increase by approximately 5.6%. A standard birth, death, and marriage certificate will increase from $33 to $35. Copies or electronic copies of any document will increase from $25 to $26, and marriage and civil union licence fees will increase from $150 to $158.

This is how I brought new life to my mum’s wedding saree at my brother’s Shagun (engagement function), the very one she wore 35 years ago in the same city, her hometown!

Time may have passed, but the love woven into every thread remains untouched. As I restyled it, I could almost feel her memories stitched into the fabric- her laughter, her dreams, the beginning of her journey.

Some things don’t fade with years, they deepen. And this saree, now mine to wear, carries her story forward in the most beautiful way.
