How can we truly connect with others when we cannot connect with ourselves?

I’ve gone through a deep process of “lighting my heart on fire” and connecting inward over the last two years. Now I finally feel ready to connect more deeply, at a heart level, with others in friendship and in romantic relationships. This is true intimacy.
