To all our beautiful māmā, warriors, nurturers, and fearless Wahinetōa - today is your day, and it’s written in the stars, the whenua, and the ring you stepped into with such mana.
I’m still riding the wairua of yesterday. That wasn’t just an event - it was a calling. A movement. A moment in time where you each stood, not just for yourselves, but for every wahine who has ever been silenced, pushed aside, or underestimated.
The way you carried yourselves - the way you fought, not just with fists but with whakapapa, with purpose, and with the mauri of your tūpuna - that was something sacred.
The feedback has been overwhelming. People saw you. Felt you. People from all over even across the ocean watching from a far the lives . They saw your stories being told without a single word needing to be spoken. They saw healing, power, grace, and the unrelenting strength that only comes from those who have walked through fire and still choose to rise.
You’ve birthed something greater than a one-day kaupapa - you’ve ignited a movement of Wahinetōa rising in unity, in truth, and in love.
So today, let the world pause for you. Let the sun rise for you. Let every breath you take remind you: you are worthy. You are divine. You are needed.
