It’s hard to put into words what it means to be part of this.

Tees for a Cure, Winter Edit is a collaboration built on heart, hope, and a shared belief that we can do better, for every Kiwi affected by breast cancer.

Seventeen iconic New Zealand designers.
One big goal.

Sell 3600 tees.

One for every person diagnosed each year.
Every single tee helps fund research that leads to earlier detection, better treatment, and brighter outcomes for the future.

To be involved in something this meaningful…It’s a real honour.
Not just to show up in front of the camera, but to stand alongside the people who’ve worked tirelessly to make this happen.
The team at Breast Cancer Cure, the creatives, the crew, the supporters behind the scenes. So many hands and hearts have gone into this.

And if adding my voice helps even one more person stop, listen, and act, then I’m proud to do that.

If you’re able to, pre-order a tee.
Share the message.

I got to model alongside my beautiful friend Steph Wiki.
What a morning.
Joyful. Meaningful. Full of heart.

It’s one thing to support something that matters.
It’s another to share it with people who make you feel proud just to stand beside them.

Yesterday, I felt every emotion possible. Mostly with my stomach lodged in my throat.

Revved tickets went live to our waitlist.

And all I could think was, am I stupid? Brave? Or a cocktail of both?

Launching a business event in this economy is a risk.
It could be the making, or the breaking, of my business.

But I know that New Zealand needs this.

We need events that aren’t just about speakers and stages, but about real connection.

The kind where you feel safe enough to ask for help, brave enough to offer it, and bold enough to show up as you are.

Where relationships start that go beyond LinkedIn.
Where community actually means something.

While driving to work and cranking our Revved playlist, these lyrics from a song couldn't have been more fitting.

“You see here, kid,
You gotta just go for it.
Don’t think about what comes after or what came before.
You just gotta bend your knees,
take a deep breath, and jump.”

So here I am.

Jumping.

And here I am asking for your help.

Help me spread the word.
Come to Revved.
Be a founding member of something brave, human, and needed.

Success or not, I’ll be proud of this moment. Because I showed up. I cared. And I tried to make something that helps New Zealand business create new connections, new relationships and do new business.

06/04/2025

Anna Mowbray and I are building a launchpad.

Not just a business event - a full-force ignition of ideas, ambition, and action.

Revved. is a high-impact, high-energy collision of the minds shaping the future of business in Aotearoa.

CEOs. Leaders. Founders. Game-changers. Rising talent.
800 of NZ’s most ambitious - under one roof, for one day - designed to shift everything.

This isn’t just inspiration. It’s ignition.
Unfiltered conversations. Unexpected collisions.
Real strategy. Real connection. Real momentum.

And it doesn’t stop there.

We’re building a living, breathing business community.
With post-event workshops, monthly touchpoints, and new ways to connect, grow, give back, and accelerate what’s next for you and for NZ.

You’ll leave REVVED with the roadmap, the relationships, and the momentum to keep moving.

"Opportunity dances with those already on the dance floor." – H. Jackson Brown Jr. We’ve built the floor. You just need to step on.

Your attitude walks in before you do.

And no, this isn’t about being fake positive or forcing a smile.

It’s about choosing the energy you bring to the room (and your own head).

You can be tired, unsure, even halfway doubting yourself, and still decide...

“I’m here. I’m capable. Let’s go.”

That’s a positive mental attitude (aka PMA).

Not delusion. Direction.

Because the way you speak to yourself shapes what you believe.

And what you believe shapes how you move.

So if you’re waiting to feel confident before you show up?

Flip it.

Show up → Then feel it.

Your growth is directly tied to your tolerance for discomfort.

Most people want growth.

Few people want the discomfort that comes with it.

You want confidence?
Be willing to look like a beginner.

You want success?
Be willing to fail...publicly.

You want better opportunities?
Be willing to show up before you feel ready.

Growth is about unlearning your fear of looking stupid.

From what I see people who win aren’t the smartest or the most talented. They’re the ones who keep moving...even when it’s awkward.

My question to you is to really ask yourself....how uncomfortable are you willing to get?

What a way to celebrate IWD!

Anna Mowbray opened our International Women’s Day lunch by setting the scene - reminding us that progress is driven by action. .anna.effect

She encouraged us to step outside our comfort zones, meet new people, talk business, and create connections that lead to real opportunities.

Because connection isn’t just about conversation - it’s about commerce.

Then we heard from Lesieli Oliver, Founder of Lālanga, whose story is nothing short of extraordinary.

She knows firsthand that education can change lives - because it changed hers.

From busking to help her family put food on the table to leading an organisation that empowers Māori and Pasifika learners, Lesieli is reshaping what’s possible in education.

Her vision, her grit, and her relentless belief in the potential of every child left us all inspired.

Then we shared a delicious lunch (thanks Azabu) - sitting with new people, making new friends, and expanding our networks.

Some women came alone. And we are totally here for the brave. It takes courage to walk into a room by yourself, but that’s what this is about, stepping forward, showing up, and knowing you belong.

110 women filled the room. But more than that, we filled it with energy, ambition, and purpose.

And now, let’s take Anna’s challenge forward...

On IWD, let’s help each other.

What do you need help with? Or what’s something you could give that might be your superpower?

Drop a comment below and start with:
GIVE: (What you can offer)
HELP: (What you need)

Let’s turn connection into action.

If you want to hear more about Lalagna or donate, DM me and I can send you some info.

Be the damn change.

Open a new door.
Start the thing.
Take the risk.

Or… keep living the same year on repeat and calling it “experience.”

You don’t grow just by showing up…to the same damn door!
You get it by choosing different.

The uncomfortable conversation. The scary email. The bold move. The step onto the dancefloor!

Some doors slammed shut on me.
Some I chose to close.
Some I need to pull myself through.
Some I needed to knock on - hard.

But nothing changed until I was willing to move.

Go and open a new door!

Would you turn down a six-figure salary… for a business that made $400?

Kate Gatfield-Jeffries did.

While most people were chasing job security, she was chasing something bigger - a business with purpose.

Fast-forward three years, and Kate’s company she co-founded with Nick Ward, Moodi, has become one of the fastest-growing wellness brands in Australasia.

Supermarkets had to limit customer purchases just to keep up with demand.

Moodi sold out three months of stock in two weeks - something we haven’t seen since the Lewis Road Creamery days in 2014.

So, how did she do it? And what can you learn from it?

Join us at Tickled Pink’s Sip + Share on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 8am, where Kate will take us behind the scenes of Moodi’s explosive growth, the power of community-driven marketing, and what it really takes to build a brand people obsess over.

> How she went from $400 in sales to stocking hundreds of supermarkets
> The secret behind Moodi’s “unhinged demand” launch (and how you can apply it to your business or career)
> Why bold moves create the biggest opportunities - if you’re willing to take them

This is a must-attend networking event for anyone who wants to think bigger, move faster, and build something that matters.

5 steps to build a bold and bankable personal brand.

Here’s my take on how to build a bold, bankable personal brand...

1. Define your brilliance.
What makes you unforgettable?
What’s your superpower?
Write down 3 things people always compliment you on.

2. Clarify your audience.
Who needs your message most?
Be specific. Your audience isn’t everyone.

3. Create consistency.
Your visuals, tone, and messaging should align.
Audit your online presence.
Does it tell a cohesive story?

4. Show up.
Visibility beats perfection every time.
Post something today, even if it’s messy.

5. Build connections.
Genuine relationships matter more than algorithms.
Start with one meaningful outreach.

Your personal brand is your story and your ticket to opportunities.
Don’t leave it to chance.

What’s one step you can take today to work on your brand?

If you’re sitting on the sidelines waiting for the right time...

It’s never going to show up.

The universe looks out for the ones who get moving, who put themselves out there without a perfect plan.

The biggest wins come when you stop waiting and start doing.

You don’t need permission or an invite.

Just the guts to get on that floor.

Are you ready to step up, or are you still waiting?

"Opportunity dances with those already on the dance floor" - wish it was me who wrote this but it was H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

Be grateful to the three yous.

The past you.
Thank them.
They got you through the hard days, took the risks, and put in the work to get you here.

The present you.
Back them.
Right now, you’re living in the moment your past self hoped for. Honour that.

The future you.
Do them a favour.
The choices you make today will shape their life. Make them proud.

Why does this matter?

Because when you’re kind to all versions of yourself, you’re not stuck in the past, overwhelmed by the present, or fearful of the future.

You’re in motion.

Take a moment.

Say thanks.

Then make a move your future self will love you for.

Steal My Tips for Backing Yourself

1. Say it out loud
That idea you’ve been quietly sitting on?
Speak it into existence.
Share it with someone who will champion you, or hold you accountable.
Confidence starts with hearing your own voice say, “I can do this.”

2. Act before you feel ready
Spoiler alert: You’ll never feel 100% prepared.
The secret? Start anyway.
Clarity comes through action, not overthinking.

3. Borrow belief if you need to
Not feeling it today?
Think of someone who believes in you (or someone whose confidence you admire).
Step into their shoes for a moment and ask...What would they do here?

4. Collect small wins
Success isn’t a big leap, it’s a series of little steps.
Focus on nailing one thing today. Just one, and let that momentum carry you forward.

5. Reframe the fear
Instead of thinking, What if I fail? try asking, What if this works out better than I imagined?
Fear shrinks when curiosity takes the lead.

Backing yourself isn’t about being fearless, it’s about taking action despite the fear.

What’s one small step you can take today to show you’ve got your own back?

This is me about to sign the docs and go all in to create a business event in Auckland on the 7th of August for the ambitious.

Want to be on the waitlist for it DM me.

We're not here to f**k spiders.

You only get one life.
Work out what you want.
And Back yourself.

Stop worrying about others.
Stop avoiding risks.
Stop procrastinating.

Start doing courage-building stuff.

Take action and really start living your life.

Remember, opportunity dances with those already on the dance floor.

So get dancing and don't look back, because you're not going that way.

Does networking feel fake or awkward? Here’s how to make it meaningful.

Networking isn’t about collecting business cards or cold messaging strangers.

It’s about building real relationships that matter.

Here’s how to network authentically...

1. Focus on giving first.
Ask, “How can I help this person?” before thinking about what they can do for you.

2. Be intentional.
Show up where your people are. LinkedIn, events, or shared communities.

3. Follow up.
A quick “great to meet you” message can make all the difference.
Relationships are built over time.

The best connections aren’t transactional, they’re relational and transformational.

Who will you reconnect with this week?
