Already halfway through the week and the next "Better Monday" is getting closer and closer!

We are incredibly lucky to have some talented DJs that will provide us with funky house and pumping basslines throughout the night.

First up - We've got Iven!

Iven found his people and passion for DJing in the Berlin and Rotterdam techno scenes at the tender age of 16.
Now calling Auckland home, he brings a slice of the European sounds and atmosphere to various lively gigs and festivals around NZ.
His outlook reflects his music – funky, surprising, and energetic.
His sets take people away from the day to day grind and into the techno, house and funk roots he knows so well.

As you may have seen, Science of Sound, Club Kultur and Fitzroy are collaborating, with the shared goal to create something new, fresh and exciting!

We have curated this event in one of Ponsonby’s freshest art galleries and plan to set up the space with funky underground beats and luscious style.

We know that these times are currently a struggle for many of us, especially for those of us who work in events or hospitality.

Who caught this incredible bloke at Outfields? He absolutely lit up the Morrocan tent, and we can’t wait to get him back in action next month! Although he doesn’t need much intro in Hawkes Bay, we’ll let him - Gareth knows his stuff.

“I fell in love with house music way back in 2004. I started mixing prior to the digital revolution, so I earned my stripes on a crappy mixer and two belt driven turntables. I still remember my 'ah-hah' moment when I first blended two tracks on vinyl. It was magical.

After moving to Australia in 2005, I managed to secure residences at some of Queensland's best house clubs like Elsewhere and Berlin Bar. Elsewhere, despite being in the heart of Surfers Paradise, was known as the spot to go to if you wanted to hear real electronic music. I opened for international acts like DJ T, Spirit Catcher, Justin Martin, Kid Kenobi and MC Shureshock, to name a few. My Friday residency meant I got to open once a week for Audun Fiskerud, who to this day, is arguably still one of Australia's best underground DJs.

My sound hasn't changed much over the years. I still love to blend deep, tech, and minimal house in together to deliver an entertaining, educational, and inclusive set.”

We can’t wait to hear it in action - tickets go on sale next week, and we’ve got another exciting artist to announce on the weekend from a little further afield.

Dowork might be new to the wider NZ scene but has been stealing people over with deeply infectious music and his quietly cheeky manner, playing to great effect at festivals, gigs and his local. His style melts house and discofunktech with a splash of San Francisco and Detroit grooves... Not forgetting a good dash of heavy bass! He believes house music has its own emotions, it’s own spirit - and that idea of the tunes connecting with the people in the crowd is the reason he never has to ask people to put their hands in the air or dance. He can rely on his music to make them feel something, to move and smile, and that’s his sole aim every time he steps behind the decks.
