Hey, My name is Rebecca, I am the owner of Vintage Boudoir Boutique based in Ashburton in my beautiful Villa home studio. I have been a professional Makeup Artist for over 22 Years and a Photographer for nearly as long. With a love of vintage clothing that has now grown into an extensive collection as well as an obsession with Vintage Wedding Gowns, this has now developed into my business VBB.

Thought I would share with you some of the history of this stunning gown from 1939.
It is the most beautiful fabric, an ivory ninon ( researching this) and embossed velvet. I can only imagine how beautiful it would have been new reading the description from the paper of the day. I was lucky to be sent copies of the original wedding day photographs along with details of the day. ❤️

Hey, it has been a while since there was an update on VBB. Things have been slowly coming together over the last few months. For those of you who don't know, I am now based in Ashburton, and working on having the studio open by the end of February.
Along with the photography and makeup services the Vintage Wedding Gown Hire side will hopefully have some images up on a new Website as well, with over 350 Wedding Gowns to photograph, a mix of 200 Vintage Gowns and 150 more modern, it's a lot to get through!
Also lots of new exciting options for VBB clients coming over the next year.
I have added just a few images of some new Vintage Gowns that I have had come in ❤️

My Story

Hey, I am Rebecca. I have been a Professional Makeup artist for over 15 years. Based in Christchurch I can offer professional ,experience, excellent service with extensive industry knowledge. I only use the best quality products of a high professional standard.

Having worked at Minifies Makeup as senior makeup artist for four years this is where my passion for teaching began. From running special effects training days to teaching theatre makeup to schools, and a tutor of special effects makeup. Halloween being one of the most fun times of the year gave me a chance to use my skills to transform the client’s ideas into reality. Body painting became an exciting part of my career, using my art and costume back ground to create classic designs, winning the Body Painting competition in 2011 at Christchurch Cup Day.

Currently I am studying Photography full time and can include this service along with my Makeup options. I offer a range of services from Event Makeups, Weddings, Balls, Special Effects, Makeovers, one on one Makeup Lessons, Group Lessons, Body Painting or any other aspect of the Industry.
