​Square Mandala Palace: Surrounding the center is a square architectural layout representing a divine celestial mansion, complete with four elaborate T-shaped gateways (toranas) facing the cardinal directions.
​Outer Concentric Circles
​Lotus Petal Ring: A prominent circle of stylized lotus petals (padmavali) encircles the sacred square, symbolizing spiritual purity and detachment from worldly distraction.
​Outer Scrollwork & Flame Border: The outermost rings feature intricate filigree, flame patterns (* ज्वाला / jvala*), and floral motifs designed to serve as a protective barrier around the sacred space.
​Craftsmanship & Symbolism
The high-relief bronze/brass casting uses dark undertones to accent the raised, gilded highlights, characteristic of Newar metal carving. Mandalas of this design are widely used in sacred ritual spaces and traditional wall decor as protective talismans representing divine order and directional guardians (such as the eight protective directions or Ashta Matrika energies).
