Night at Yttervik is never truly dark.

Across the fjord, lights glow from homes, roads and small gathering places. Life being lived. Neighbours helping neighbours. Ideas growing. People creating something together.

From the hillside, we are reminded that we are part of a living village, a community that cares, works, celebrates and builds the future side by side.

The light in here hits differently in winter ✨

Our greenhouse venue has challenged us in more ways than we can count. Frost, wind, endless practical puzzles. But then January slowly turns, the sun comes back, and suddenly the whole room fills with warmth and hope.

It can still be freezing outside. Snow along the walls, ice in the fields. Yet inside, the tables glow, the glasses sparkle, and time softens.

This is why we love it.
This fragile, stubborn, beautiful in between season.

Dagens solnedgang gikk langsomt ned bak fjorden, sett fra Stabburspanorama.
Stabburet vårt, det eldste huset på gården, stille og sterkt, bærer fortsatt spor av livene som var her før oss.
På takåsen står enda tallene skrevet med blyant, en enkel oversikt over kjøttet som hang til tørk i 1930.
I dag er det lyset, stillheten og tiden som henger igjen.
Et sted for romantikk og ro eller et arbeidsopphold litt utenom det vanlige.

Tonight, the sun slowly disappeared beyond the fjord, seen from Stabbur Panorama.
The oldest house on the farm still carries quiet traces of past lives.
On the roof beam, numbers written in pencil remain, once marking how much meat was hung to dry back in 1930.
Today, it is the light, the silence, and time itself that linger.
A place for romance, reflection, or a work stay a little out of the ordinary.

In Norway we have an old tradition that we still lovingly follow. Christmas is not over until the 20th day of Christmas.

There is an old saying here: “On the 20th day, Knut sends Christmas out.”
This was the day for the final festive feast, when everything left from Christmas was brought to the table and nothing was held back.

I am especially lucky, because my sister’s birthday falls on this very day. That means we have always ended Christmas with laughter, good food and a joyful gathering around the table. A perfect and slightly playful farewell to the season.

2025 har vært et år som har lært oss verdien av å lytte, puste og velge med omtanke, samtidig som vi har kjent stor takknemlighet for alt som faktisk har fått vokse.

For gården har vært full av liv. Av gjester som har feiret bryllup og store dager, hatt møter og samlinger, delt måltider, ledd høyt, kjent på roen og latt naturen gjøre sitt. Overnattingene, selskaper, aktivitetsdager og alle møtene med dere har vært en stor gave.

Vi er også stolte og takknemlige for å få være en del av flere utviklingsprosjekter sammen med dyktige samarbeidspartnere, og for støtten og kompetansen vi får gjennom Tindved Kulturhage og andre gode folk rundt oss.

Dette året har minnet oss på hvorfor vi gjør det vi gjør. Fordi mennesker betyr noe. Fordi møter mellom folk skaper ringvirkninger. Og fordi ekte opplevelser alltid starter med nærvær.

Tusen takk til alle dere som har valgt oss, støttet oss og delt tid med oss i 2025.
