What matters to you matters to me too - especially when it comes to capturing the little things during your wedding day.

That’s exactly why I photographed this cake server for my bride. She had something very specific in mind and had searched high and low (and all over the internet) to find it. Knowing how much it meant to her, this little detail got a special place in their gallery.

I want to notice the things that matter to you, even the little things that might go unnoticed by everyone else.
For some, it’s just a cake server. For someone else, it’s a treasured family heritage. 🤍

Today, K&I are celebrating their 2nd wedding anniversary and they really know how to celebrate life.
A couple with so much love for each other, and for the people around them. I could already feel that so strongly during our first meeting, and even more so on their wedding day.

Today they sent me a little update: they’re travelling through Australia, have seen whales, and are off for a lovely dinner together watching their wedding gallery 🐋✨

The most surprising wedding…
From beginning to end, their day was so completely unique and filled with many surprises.

Family and friends arrived expecting an anniversary party, but instead, they became part of an interactive wedding celebration, creating the entire wedding ceremony all together on the spot.

The biggest surprise for me? The wedding dress! Anything but traditional. Both in color and in black & white an absolute eye-catcher.
And of course, real Amsterdam wedding guests…they arrive by bike 🚲 (see last slide)

City love shoot in one of their favorite places - Utrecht.

A city they return to time and time again for lunches, cinema dates and walks along the canals. This summer, I’ll have the honor of capturing their wedding day at the beautiful and just by holding their invitation I already know it will be something special. A day filled with intention and many thoughtful details, all planned and envisioned by the creative bride 🤍

Still can’t quite believe this one… 🤍
One of my dance images was awarded by !

What I love most about this photo is the feeling. The kind of energy where my bridal couple and guests forget the camera is even there.
And honestly, that kind of atmosphere doesn’t happen by accident.

A few things I’ve seen make a real difference at wedding parties and that I love to share after years of wedding party experiences:

• Keep the dance floor a little smaller than you think - it brings people together and instantly feels more alive. There‘s actually a little secret: the lower the ceiling, the bigger the party!
• Make sure the bar is close (not closed 😉- no one wants to leave the party for too long to get a new drink)
• Invest in great music - whether it’s a live band or an exceptional DJ, it changes everything
• And most importantly: be present! Your energy sets the tone for everyone else on your wedding day!

I couldn’t have wished for a better start of this wedding season with this wonderful couple M&W!
So much love, incredible speeches, running through fields of gold, lots of music and a never ending dance floor. We had the best weather and their love was mirrored by their beautiful families and friends.
