Today I visited Genk On Stage in Belgium — a city music festival with free entrance for everyone from Genk and the surrounding area. The atmosphere was amazing: live music, local and Dutch artists, people dancing, summer energy, and that feeling when the whole city comes alive.

I really enjoy photographing festivals like this, because everything feels real and spontaneous — the lights, the crowd, the artists, the movement, the small emotional moments. For me, it’s not just about taking photos, it’s about feeling the vibe and turning it into cinematic memories.

Music, dancing, photography, and a city full of life — exactly my kind of day.

This was the first time someone booked me specifically for an outdoor street-style shoot, and I loved the idea from the beginning. It wasn’t meant to be a staged close-up portrait — she wanted to feel naturally connected to the location, to become part of the streets, the walls, the history, and the atmosphere of Maastricht.

We walked through the old corners of the city, followed the sunset light, and let the mood guide us. Despite the heat, the shoot went beautifully — soft golden light, historic streets, quiet emotions, and that slightly magical feeling Maastricht has in the evening.

A beautiful reminder that portraits don’t always need to be posed — sometimes they just need a city, a story, and the right moment.
