Bij High Tea Heythuysen bestaat "gewoon" niet. Hier kunt u terecht voor eetbare kunstwerkjes die alleen voor u gemaakt worden, zoals bijvoorbeeld een set koekjes die bij uw servies past, of met het logo van uw bedrijf. Wilt u iemand een speciaal en uniek kado geven? De mogelijkheden zijn eindeloos.

En dit is het eindresultaat: beschuit met muisjes in koekje uitvoering, als traktatie op school voor een pasgeboren broertje :-)

And now a little explanation for those who are not familiar with Dutch traditions. When a baby is born here in the Netherlands it is a custom to offer "beschuit met muisjes" - literally "biscuit with little mice" - a round slice of twice cooked bread, spread with butter and sprinkled with "muisjes", which are anise seeds covered in white, pink or blue sugar.

This cake was by far the most difficult thing I've attempted so far. I had to face many hurdles and one big disaster, but in the end I managed to make it look like I had pictured it in my head, except for the colour. The story in the comments to each picture...
