PK Studios has blossomed from the roots of PaardenKracht, a visionary venture founded IN 2008.

In the spring of 2022 Eva and Anthea took over PaardenKracht, giving it a new identity as PK Studios.

Eva has a background in setdressing and art direction in the TV world, where she creates the sets design you see in the big brand commercials. In 2014 she joined PaardenKracht and has been doing her magic there ever since.

Anthea, who has a bachelor degree at Academic Artemis in Amsterdam, brings a unique fusion of styling and design to her work. Her years of experience in event styling infuses her approach with sophistication. Anthea started working at Paardenkracht in 2018.

Our work - Heineken

In 2017, Heineken celebrated its 150 years of existence and they asked us to create a photo studio time traveling back to the year of its founding.  In the beautiful Heineken Experience in the center Amsterdam we created this setting where 150 global managers were graciously welcomed. Transforming the Molenzolder room into our studio venue, we selected items and furnishings to capture the essence of the era. We were aiming to create this 1800s still life painting, featuring a table filled with robust foods, a costume wardrobe with regal attire, and, naturally, a focal point highlighting Heineken’s golden brew. Guided by our skilled photographer Julie, the entire studio was bathed in soft, nostalgic lighting and she gave it a vintage look in the after editing.

Voortuinen

How do you give the future residents of a brand new apartment complex a great introduction to their new home and each other? That was the task assigned to Playground Amsterdam for the property at Westerpark called De Voortuinen, and they asked us to brainstorm and create a beautiful photo studio for this purpose. Everyone knows the amazing music video by Queen set in a cozy living room, “I Want to Break Free.” We made our studio inspired on the iconic music video. In the raw construction site of the building, we hauled an entire living room upstairs, complete with walls in retro wallpaper, a mid-century sofa and armchairs, and of course, the iconic vacuum cleaner. Our team was styled by the talented folks at to resemble characters from the clip, and we provided visitors with a large rack of matching clothing. Did you notice the detail in the background print on the window? It depicts the actual view from the property overlooking Westerpark, which the residents will soon enjoy from their own living rooms.
