Meet Lieve:
Qué bola! I’m a new teacher at STG, and I’m super excited to be here! My goal is to share my love for Cuba, its culture, and of course the addiction we call Cuban salsa. :)

Dancing has always been my biggest passion. Ever since I was young, I’ve danced all kinds of dance styles, from hip-hop to ballet and modern dance. After graduating from the dance academy, I lost my passion for dancing for a while. The academy was extremely strict, demanding, and not very creative. For me, dancing is all about freedom, but there I felt anything but free.

After feeling a little lost, I turned to my other great passion: traveling. 4 years later, I found myself in… you guessed it: Cuba.

No plan, no return ticket, not understanding a single word of Spanish, and completely on my own. Little did I know that the most transformative period of my life was about to begin.

I ended up staying for 8 months. That’s where dancing found me again. In the streets of Havana, on every corner, salsa was everywhere. I took classes every day and danced at parties every night. I made lifelong friends, and Cuba taught me more than I ever imagined.

The most important lesson? Mañana no existe! (Tomorrow doesn’t exist.)

Despite all the challenges the country faces, Cubans live one day at a time, making the best of every moment. Salsa is their escape, their hope, and a chance to forget their worries, even if it’s just for a little while.

My love for the Cuban culture, its music, and especially its salsa kept growing. Cuba gave me back what I had lost: my passion for dance.

I’m super excited to share this passion with you and inspire people to truly feel the music and enjoy dancing. Because that’s what dancing is all about: losing yourself in the music, and living fully in the moment.

Meet Rafael:
Hi! I’m Rafa, a 32-year-old Portuguese guy who’s been calling the Netherlands home for the past 13 years.

My salsa journey actually started with music. I’m a musician, and while I was still studying, I was invited to play with several salsa bands. I instantly fell in love with the energy, the rhythms, and the incredible atmosphere. It didn’t take long before I realized that listening to sal

Meet Marina:
Hi, I’m Marina!

Over the 15 years, I’ve explored different styles of social dancing and had the opportunity to learn from many Salsa teachers, attend festivals and congresses, and constantly discover something new about dance and about myself. All these experiences have helped me to find my own style.

And so far I continue learning, experimenting, and improving.

I’m so happy for the decision made to grow from a dancer to a teacher  in the Cuban Salsa World and that one day I completed the STG Teacher Training and to be the part of the STG team!

I have a background as a Pole Sport Dance and Stretching instructor, which gave me a strong understanding of body movement, technique, flexibility, and physical awareness 💪🏻

For me, dancing is a way to release yourself, communication with others on a body language , influence your inner mood through movement and enjoy the moment!

And when I’m not dancing, I’m passionate about Yoga, Photography, Traveling and collecting the bright life experiences — those little and big moments that make life feel vibrant and memorable.

Let’s dance, explore, and create some beautiful experiences together! 💃✨

Meet Ana:
My dance journey began over 7 years ago with Salsa and since then, Latin dances have been my main passion ever since. Along the way, I have also trained in bachata (5 years) and zouk and kizomba (2 years). In addition, I enjoy exploring other dance styles, including Afro dance and Urban Feminine Heels, which continue to broaden my movement vocabulary and enrich my approach to partner dancing.

For the past 4 years, I have been teaching Salsa and Bachata, as both follower and leader, helping dancers of all levels develop not only their technique, but also their confidence, musicality, and connection. My teaching philosophy is built around personal attention and constructive feedback. I believe that the smallest details—often overlooked—can make the biggest difference in how comfortable, efficient, and expressive your dancing becomes.

Outside the dance floor, I have a background in Biomedical Engineering and work in the Pharmaceutical Industry. My understanding of biomechanics, combined with the dance

Meet Semmy:

Hi! My name is Semmy 😊 and I started teaching at Salsa Te Gusta in 2019 💃

My background is in musical theatre 🎭. I had an 11-year career performing in Germany, followed by another 3 years in the Netherlands. I love bringing the professional skills I learned from my teachers and developed on stage into my classes to inspire my students ✨

I enjoy focusing on the small details that can make a big difference and help you improve your dancing quickly 🔍, while also encouraging you to discover your own personality and style on the dance floor. After all, great dancing is not just about technique — it’s about expressing who you are ❤️

I teach all levels as a follower and up to Level 6 as a leader 🕺💃. My teaching style is all about positive vibes and uplifting feedback 🌟, while always keeping it real, honest, and constructive. I want my students to feel challenged, supported, and confident every step of the way 🙌

As one of the head teachers, I’m closely involved in expanding and improving our curriculum 📚. I also enjoy mentoring new teachers as they go through our pre-teacher training program, helping them grow into confident and inspiring instructors 🌱

Outside of dancing, I’m deeply in love with my Catholic faith ✝️, which I fully embraced three years ago. It has given me purpose, peace, and hope for the future, and continues to shape the way I approach both life and teaching 🙏

I’m looking forward to dancing with you, sharing my passion, and being part of your salsa journey! 🔥💃

Meet Femke:

Hola a todos!

My name is Femke 😁I started dancing salsa in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, and I fell in love with it from the very beginning. In that time, salsa made me feel free and connected, and still does!

Shortly after , I co-organized Surf and Salsa trips in Portugal for 4 years together with Jonas Afonso, creating unforgettable experiences with groups of 25 persons.

Since September 2025, I’ve been teaching at Salsa te Gusta, and I truly enjoy sharing salsa en having FUN with others. I’m especially in love with Cuban salsa because of its playfulness and joyful energy.

Looking forward to see you on the dance floor soon!
