Documented In Honour of Late
Mama Otu, at Oloibiri Community in Ogbia L.G.A, Bayelsa State.

The ancient Oloibiri community, located in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, remains a place of profound historical and cultural significance. Over the years, our team has carried out multiple visual projects in this remarkable community, producing more than five documentary films. Each return to Oloibiri offers something fresh: new perspectives, deeper insights, and renewed inspiration drawn from the people, their traditions, and the enduring strength of their heritage.

The community’s cultural richness continues to shape and elevate our storytelling. Every encounter, whether through festivals, family narratives, or everyday communal life gives us new ideas and compels us to create timeless visual memories through our camera lenses.

This particular documentary is dedicated to Mama Otu, a woman whose presence left an unforgettable mark on her family and community.

Fondly recognized as “a mother of all,” she embodied warmth, generosity, leadership, and a rare spirit of motherhood that touched everyone who crossed her path. Her story deserved to be preserved, and it is our honour to have captured a portion of her legacy.
