ENTERTAINMENT AIDE SEEKS FTAN PARTNERSHIP TO PROMOTE TOURISM IN ETINAN
As part of ongoing efforts to market and promote Destination Etinan,the Special Assistant on Entertainment to the Chairman of Etinan Local Government Council,Mr Nelson NseAbasi,paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria (FTAN),Akwa Ibom State Chapter,Mr Joe Umoh.
The meeting focused on the need for strategic collaboration between FTAN,the apex tourism body in the state,and Etinan Local Government Area towards promoting the tourism potentials and cultural heritage of Etinan.
Nelson NseAbasi also used the visit to brief the FTAN Chairman on the developmental strides of the Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area,Hon. Uko Umoh,highlighting projects such as rural electrification,road grading across hinterland communities,and the recently commissioned ultra-modern bus terminus.
According to him,these projects demonstrate the readiness of the council to receive tourists,improve accessibility,and stimulate the local economy through tourism,entertainment and related investments.
Speaking during the visit,Mr Joe Umoh,who also doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Jous Travels & Tours,assured Mr NseAbasi of FTAN’s readiness to partner with Etinan Local Government and affiliated tourism groups in promoting emerging destinations across Akwa Ibom State.
He noted that the association remains committed to supporting initiatives aimed at expanding tourism opportunities and showcasing untapped destinations within the state.
Mr Umoh also used the opportunity to invite the Etinan entertainment aide to the forthcoming inauguration ceremony of the FTAN Executive in Akwa Ibom State,scheduled to hold on Wednesday,20th May,2026.
The visit forms part of broader engagements by the Etinan Local Government entertainment office to position Etinan as a viable destination for tourism,culture,entertainment,and movie productions.
