A - TRADITIONAL/WHITE WEDDING

1.) Discuss with your spouse the type your budget can go for; example:

i) TRAD-WED: This type consist both traditional marriage and wedding ceremony happening the same day. We will start a brief on how the customary marriage is done before moving to the wedding event.

In this type of Traditional marriage, the customary marriage (indoor Traditional marriage) is done in the early hours at the bride's father's living room (Parlour).

This type of traditional arrangement is the original customary settings obtained from our fore fathers. This settings includes calling the elders of the family, village, relatives and very few friends of the bride-to-be to witness the payment of the BRIDE PRICE and GIVING OF THE ITEMS IN THE LIST as was demanded, argued and agreed on the marriage list.

Note! Before now, there must be a first visit to the bride's family by the groom and few of his relatives and this is called INTRODUCTION) this is known as NKONG UDOK in Ibibio culture. (Ibibio is a native culture with majority indigene in Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria).

At this first visit, the groom is expected to carry these set of drinks (This May differ depending on the family and village the bride is from).
I) One Hot Drink ( for ear opening)
2) Between N1000 to N3000 (for standing the drink)
3) One bottle of Wine (for mother and other women there)
4) One Crate of beer and a crate of mineral (for entertainment)
5) if you want to get the marriage list that same day, carry extra cash like N5k in case that is visible.

*RULES OF COMMUNICATION*

INTRODUCTION:
According to OXFORD DICTIONARY, " Communication is the imparting or exchanging of information by speaking, writing or using some other medium."

It mention Television as an effective means of communication, though I beg to differ because I see television as mostly a means of TRANSMISSION OF INFORMATION and not COMMUNICATION except there is a call back channel to such information or programme transmitted by the television.

The most accurate means of communication is A TELEPHONE.

The primary essence of Communication is when there is a SENDER and RECEIVER and RESPONSE to any information passed which creates a mutual understanding for appropriate action and reaction hence these rules as coined by me .

RULE 1:
Communicate in a simple clear tenses or language best understood by your receiver for proper, effective and equal response.

RULE 2:
Speak, listen, respond and learn

RULE 3:
Take note of your tone variations when communicating. Tone variations depicts levels of transition from good to bad energy and from calm to harsh response.

RULE 4:
When listening to a SENDER(Communicator), listen with your mind, head and intent to understand his/her reasons for communicating. Respond based on the purpose, reason and intent to which the communication took place.

RULE 5:
Stay on the course of communication. Diversion is a distraction and that creates distortion in communication.

10 Things You Shouldn't Do while Boarding A Public Transport.

1) Don't answer a call so loud or have your phone on speaker especially with other passengers onboard.

2) Don't eat smelly things like ( Mango, Oranges, Groundnut, Cashew nut, Moi Moi, etc) in a public transport especially Tricycle (Keke) even if you are paying as a drop or on a charter.

3) If you sit in the middle of two passengers, don't stretch your hands across people's face to wave at passer-by.

Because your body odour or deodorant might be irritating the next person sitting beside you as your armpit is staring at their faces while your busy exchanging pleasantries to your friend or family out there.

4) If you are chewing gum while on transit, please sister/brother chew with your mouth close. It's irritating enough as you eat with your mouth open but spitting your saliva in the process can be so so annoying.

5) If you are boarding a public transport with a friend or family and you have others in the vehicle too, please keep your discussions down. Others might just need that moment to think through critical things that affect their life, work or career.

6) Avoid throwing waste or anything outside the window or side of a moving vehicle. It's a very bad habit. It shows you are a dirty person.

7) Avoid man-spreading in a public transport. It shows irresponsibility from your side.

8) While on a public transport, avoid jumping into people's conversation especially if you were not invited. Mind your own business.

9) If you must listen to music through your earpiece while on transit, avoid blocking your two ears with the headphone. Keep one ear free just to be aware of your environment and as a safety measure while travelling.

10) Try as much as you can to always onboard a vehicle (Tricycle, Bus etc) with the exact transport fare to avoid delaying other passengers in the cause of finding your balance at the point of highlight.
