UX Design Journey - Day 11 🎨

Today’s lessons were centered on universal design, inclusive design, and equity-focused design — three powerful concepts that remind me what design is truly about: creating experiences that are fair, inclusive, and accessible for everyone. ⚖️

What stood out the most was the importance of equity-focused design — thinking about power, privilege, and inequality when designing so no one is unintentionally excluded.

I’ll be completing my assignment on this later tonight before continuing with the app I’m currently designing. Learning while building has been such a rewarding experience. 💡

UX Design Journey — Day 2 to 10

It’s been a while since my Day 1 post (back on October 4th 😅).
We haven’t had light for a while, and I’ve also been a bit busy, so I couldn’t post my progress — but trust me, I’ve been learning! 💡

From Day 2 to 10, I completed Module 1 of the Google UX Design Course, worked on several assignments, and wrapped it up with a test today — scoring 93% / 100%! 🥳
Honestly, I would’ve gotten a full 100% if I had just calmed down to understand one particular question better 😅

This first module really helped me grasp the foundations of UX design — from understanding user needs to exploring the product development process. It’s been such a valuable start to my UX journey, and I’m excited for what’s next! 🚀

Learning UX Design Day 1

Today I learned about the roles and responsibilities of an entry-level UX designer. Some of the key ones include:

🔎 User research – understanding the people who will use the product.
✏️ Wireframing – creating basic sketches of an app, website, or screen before it’s fully designed.
📂 Information architecture – organizing and structuring the product so it’s easy to navigate.
💬 Communication – working with teams to bring ideas to life.
⚡ Prototyping – creating interactive models that bring designs to life.
🎨 Visual design – focusing on how the product looks and feels.

This gave me a clear picture of what UX designers actually do day-to-day. Excited to keep building on this knowledge 🚀

I’ve been going through the Google UX Design course, and one thing really stood out to me UX design is way bigger than I thought!
It’s not just about making apps or websites look nice. There are so many career paths within UX that I didn’t even imagine. Some of them are:

VR/AR Designer 🕶️
UX Researcher 🔍
UX Writer ✍️
UX Program Manager 📂
UX Engineer 💻
Conversation Designer 💬
Honestly, it’s exciting and a bit overwhelming 😂 to see how broad UX really is. It means there’s room to grow in so many directions!
