I often get impatient with my friends over small things. I snap at them and regret it afterwards. We tend to ignore our small sins, thinking God only cares about the big ones. But all our offenses, major and minor, are against a holy God. We must take sin seriously and recognize that all our wrongs are against Him

O God, You are holy and sin is an affront to You. It cost You the life of Your beloved Son and has tarnished Your beautiful creation, including all of us. I will not ignore my sins, but bring them before You in honest confession. Help me to take sin seriously and to turn away from it

Not everyone has the same heart as you.
Not everyone is honest with you as you are with them.
You will meet people who will use you for their gain and then discard you once that section of their life has passed and they are fulfilled.
