Dear ushering agencies( To those it may concern)
Stop selling yourself cheap. I don’t know if you don’t want your brand to grow and also be sustainable. You must not accept every job just because you want to be working every weekend. How can a client insist on paying you 7,500 per usher for a-day and you accept? I know times are hard but my dear, In this present Economy that fee is too little. 😦
Are you sure you even know how to sell the importance of ushers at these events to your clients? Do you put your ushers into consideration? How much will you pay them from the N7,500. Did you consider what logistics is presently? What about uniform and grooming? The quality of your service too? What about your commission as the service provider? 🤧😬
So here’s the background story, a client reached out to me to inquire about my pricing, after doing the costing and breakdown she told me she knows someone who charges less, I told her that because of the quality of my service and logistics, I would not be able to achieve a standard of excellence at that rate. The response I got from her was, “if I don’t do it another agency will.”
She even returned to give me feedback, that she has gotten. It was the confidence for me. 😬
In that moment I felt her belittle the Nigeria Ushering Industry. Which simply means she already knows the ushering market in Nigeria, no standardization. For some, anything goes. 🙁
These are some of the things that causes see finish. If we all stop charging less, clients will be fixed on looking for agencies that would deliver the most quality service at their events not cheaper service. 🤷♀️

There is hike in transportation fare occasioned by high fuel prices and everyone is directly affected, including ushers.
