FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Nigerian Independent DJs (NIDJ) wishes to formally clarify that our organization is in no way
affiliated with NDJ (Nigerian DJs Association).
NIDJ is a body of independent DJs who operate freely and uphold the values of creativity,
professionalism, and neutrality within the entertainment industry.
We would also like to state clearly that NIDJ will not be involved in, nor take sides in, any ongoing
dispute or “beef” between any DJ and an artist. Such matters are strictly personal and do not
represent the views or position of our association.
Furthermore, our members retain full creative freedom. They are at liberty to play any artist’s music
of their choice. NIDJ does not and will not impose restrictions on what our members can or cannot
play, as this goes against the principles we stand for as an independent body.
We remain committed to promoting unity, professionalism, and the growth of the DJ community and the music industry at large.

If you are a DJ please comment, share your opinion on this or tag your DJ friend. Djs are saying they don't need a performance license that it’s the event centers and club owners that needs it. Except you are making mixtapes to put out publicly then you can obtain a mechanical license or if you are hosting your personal events then you can obtain a performance license.
