Interesting fact:
Do you know that sifting your dry ingredients doesn't just minimize lumps in your batter...?

Sifting helps to aerate your dry ingredients and makes them easier for mixing. It's also good if you want to make your pastries come out lighter. Yes lighter. Did you know 1 cup unsifted flour is 141.7 grams while 1 cup sifted flour is 113.4 grams?
That's right, sifted flour is a whole 25 percent lighter that unsifted flour.
And it's also good if you want to remove things like bugs or other unwanted particles in your cake.

So please take that 5 mins to sift your dry ingredients like flour or confectioners sugar before using so as too turn out with a cake that is not only light and fluffy, but also easier to mix and bake.
