MARRIED TO A B£3ST
Episode 2: The First Signs of Trouble
Obianuju started noticing small changes in her marriage. At first, it was subtle—Chinedu would raise his voice when she expressed her opinion, or dismiss her feelings like they didn’t matter.
One evening, she gently suggested they spend more time together, but he snapped at her sharply.
“Stop complaining all the time,” he said. “You should be grateful I take care of you.”
She was shocked, but she stayed silent.
Days turned into weeks, and the words became harsher. What used to be soft conversations slowly turned into criticism. Friends began noticing that Obianuju no longer smiled the way she used to.
Still, she convinced herself it was just stress. She believed every marriage had challenges and that patience would fix things.
But deep down, something in her heart started to feel heavy.
That was the beginning of her silent pain.
Moral Lesson: When respect starts disappearing in a relationship, it is a warning sign—not something to ignore or justify.
