EVENT PLANNER ≠ EVENT DECORATOR
An EVENT PLANNER is primarily concerned with coordinating the event as a whole—budget, vendors, timeline, logistics, programme, coordination and making sure different aspects of the event work together.
An EVENT DECORATOR focuses mainly on the visual transformation of the venue—backdrops, draping, tables, centrepieces, stage design, entrance styling, props, colours and the overall ambience.
Some professionals offer both services, but they are still two different responsibilities.
And that's where you, as a client, need to ask questions before paying anyone.
👉 What exactly am I paying for?
👉 What services are included?
👉 Who is responsible for the decoration?
👉 Is there a written agreement?
👉 What happens if there is a change or problem?
👉 Does the person have a proven record of delivering previous events?
Don't choose an event professional simply because their price is cheap or their pictures are beautiful.
