milky chin chin recipe

Ingredients:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

1/2 tsp salt

2 tsp baking powder

1/4 cup powdered milk (or more for extra milky flavor)

2 eggs

1/2 cup butter (softened)

1/2 cup liquid milk (or as needed to bind dough)

Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions:

1. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and powdered milk.

2. Add wet ingredients: Beat the eggs and add them to the dry mix. Add softened butter and mix until crumbly.

3. Form dough: Gradually add liquid milk while mixing until you get a smooth, non-sticky dough.

4. Cut into shapes: Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into small cubes or strips.

5. Fry: Heat oil in a deep pan. Fry the chin chin in batches on medium heat until golden brown and crispy.

6. Drain and cool: Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Let cool before serving.

Even if you are not a Baker, you can try this at home for your family consumption.
They come out rich, milky, and crunchy—perfect for snacking or selling.

Fish roll.

Ingredients
For the dough
-500 Grams Flour
-1/2 teaspoon Salt
-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
-1 teaspoon Nutmeg (optional)
-2 tablespoon Sugar
-200 Grams Margarine or butter or 50/50
-2 eggs
-100 ml evaporated milk or fresh or water
-Vegetable oil for frying

For the filling:
-2-3 TablespoonVegetable oil
-1 small Onions
-1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
-1/2 teaspoon Oregano
-1/2 Teaspoon eachCurry & Thyme
-Salt to taste
-2-3 medium-size Fried Mackerel
-1 Can Sardine in Tomato sauce

How to prepare:

-Mix all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl (flour, margarine/ butter, nutmeg, salt and sugar). You should either use a stand mixer, spatula or whisk if you don’t want to use your hands but nevertheless hand does the job better.
-Add the milk to the dry ingredients, then add the water bit by bit until the dough is properly formed. The reason I suggest bit by bit is because the consistency of our margarine or butter may differ, so add according to the texture of your dough and stop when the right consistency has been achieved.
-Remove the dough from the bowl and drop it on a floured surface and knead until smooth but don’t over knead the dough.
-Drop it back in the bowl and cover with a neat kitchen towel or clingy film or foil and allow to rest for about 30-40 minutes at room temperature.
-Take it out and drop it on the rolling mat or a floured clean surface, divide it and start rolling out with a rolling pin.
-Add about 1 teaspoon of the filling and roll.
-Repeat the process until you roll out all the dough.-Set your heat gauge to 180 degrees and bake for 20-30 minutes.

Note : you can also fry until it is golden brown.
-Enjoy and serve! Enjoy with any drink of your choice, water, coffee, etc.

CARAMELIZED POPCORN 😋
Ingredients:
1 cup of popcorn kernels (for 2 or 3 people)
Olive, sunflower or corn oil
1 cup of sugar
Preparation:
1. To begin, pour the oil into the pan until it covers the bottom of the pan, but taking care not to overdo it. Bring to medium heat and wait until it is very hot, once hot, add the popcorn kernels, making sure that you are not adding too many because there must be space in the pan for the popcorn to burst and you can caramelize it later. It is very likely that you will have to prepare your sweet popcorn in two or three batches, everything will depend on the size of your pan.
2. Once you have placed the beans in the pan, cover them until they pop, be careful and wait until they have almost all popped before opening the lid. At that time you must add the proportional part of sugar with respect to the amount of grains you have added and start stirring so that the sugar covers all the popcorn. Make enveloping movements while the heat caramelizes the sugar. Once the popcorn is caramelized, remove the pan from the heat and place it in a container.
3. Repeat the process as many times as necessary so that you can prepare the entire cup of corn kernels. Remember that it is very important to work over medium heat and never high and keep stirring once you add the sugar to get a good caramelization.
