From Lagos to Jamaica — A Beautiful Story of Love 🌴💍

The smile on my face says it all! 😊❤️ I am genuinely happy to witness this beautiful love story of Shamil and Ambibola.

Ten years ago, Shamil travelled all the way from London to Lagos, where he and Ambibola got married after dating for more than 10 years in London. I had the privilege of being their official event planner, caterer and decorator for their wedding in Lagos.

Fast forward to 2026, and what a beautiful journey it has been! They travelled from London to Jamaica to celebrate and renew their vows in honour of their 10th Wedding Anniversary.

I witnessed, celebrated and shared in their joy as they marked this remarkable milestone.

From Lagos to Jamaica, their story is truly an amazing testimony of love, commitment and togetherness.

It was a wonderful and unforgettable celebration, and I am grateful to have been part of this special moment.

🇳🇬 FROM LAGOS TO JAMAICA… LOVE CAME FULL CIRCLE! 🇯🇲

What an absolute joy and privilege it was to travel with my spouse from Nigeria to Jamaica to witness the 10th Wedding Anniversary Renewal of Vows of Shamil & Abimbola Okenla on July 22nd, 2026!

Ten years ago, on July 1st, 2016, I had the honor of planning, decorating, and catering their wedding in Ikoyi, Lagos, through La Dots Partycity.

I also stepped in as the mother of the groom for my brother, Abimbola, because our mother was unable to attend.

Fast-forward 10 years — look at God! 🙏🏾 We were reunited in Jamaica, and this time, my mother flew in from Chicago to witness their beautiful renewal of vows. My sister and her husband also joined us as we proudly represented the Nigerian family. 🇳🇬

It was truly a global celebration, with loved ones and guests coming from Nigeria, London UK, Jamaica, the USA, Canada, and beyond.

From their wedding in Lagos in 2016 to their vow renewal in Jamaica in 2026, I’m deeply grateful to have witnessed both beautiful chapters of their love story.

Some celebrations become memories. Some become history.

Shamil & Abimbola, may God bless your marriage with many more years of peace, joy, good health, prosperity, laughter, and everlasting love.
