If your estimated event size is 600 people, they can't possibly fit into a 350-person capacity room. That sounds like common sense right? Well...
Your event planner is skilled in estimating the number of attendees in relation to the venue, and help curtail unforeseen circumstances which can cause you to have more people in attendance than your event venue capacity.

Part 3

What comes to play?
If it includes some specific functions then we see them as individual components. Components that in the long run create something worthwhile.

People/ team work:
Like in every other field, people are very vital to the success of managing an event. From the very first decision, the brainstorming and the actual reality of the event, people are required to bring the idea to life.

Often times, it requires more than one person, so it births to the use of teams. These teams, no matter how minute their role may seem, in the end contribute to the success of the event.

Process:
This phase is often the most tasking of all. It generally entails all what designing and producing an event is. Be it a wedding, fashion show, sport event or a conference.

You would have to answer or complete a few tasks here:
Understand the aim: define the purpose of the event and the experience you want to deliver to the people.

Set deadlines: establish timelines for the various goals and milestones

Venue selection: Research, budget and negotiate! Do these to deliver the venue that will enhance the experience you want. P.S: Not every location would work for every event.

Budget management: delivering a great event with limited funds is not an easy task. SarFe Events managing your events will produce an outstanding event on a budget (except you have all the funds in the world to spare)

Managing risk: as most events come with many unforeseen elements . It is essential that a contingency plan is available at every stage.

Creativity/Thinking: Creativity/Thinking: event management will need you to think out of the box. SarFe Events will come up with outstanding ideas to organize an event and to impress the guests.

Besides to creativity, sound decision is. making that considers the social and environmental impact is essential.

Tomorrow, we'll look at what isn't event management.

THE TWO TYPES OF GUESTS

"two little mice fell in a bucket of cream. The first mouse gave up and drowned. But the second mouse wouldn't quit. He struggled so hard that he churned the cream into butter and crawled out."

This little anecdote above explains the two kinds of guests that you'd find in a Nigerian event.

Some would struggle for food; and when it seems it would be in vain. They threaten to throw away the cooler of food if not served immediately.

Viola!

The food struggling guest gets a steaming plate of food.

They have churned the cream into butter and crawled out.

When some ask for food and are not attended to, they pretend that they are not even hungry. They end up salivating at the sight of another person's plate of food. The one that came as a result of her threat of the god of Iron killing all the stewards if they don't get served.

At many Nigerian events, there is this desire to take a picture with the celebrants. This happens at weddings.

That picture with the blushing bride and handsome groom! Everyone craves for that.

The genesis of issues is when the photographer denies someone a shot with the celebrants. Only group pictures please! He yells. This forces people to lose hope. And there is nothing more damaging than the loss of hope.

This loss of hope is a struggle. And it would differentiate the two kinds of guests.

There would be that person who will threaten to break his camera if (s)he doesn't take a picture with the celebrants. This forces the photographer to decipher what his best line of action is.

A camera or a photo.

He makes his decision with a perfect shot of such persons and the celebrants.

Then of course, there is that person who after his request was turn down, walks off. This person is not interested in causing a scene.

And who are they?
The guests!

Nigerian events are a struggle.
The line between sanity and insanity is a very thin one. And you get prepared for such by signing up with to give you the best of delivery.

5 Cheapo Publicity ideas for your Event

One major hurdle to jump when it comes to having a successful public event is getting your event known to the public šŸ˜‰
So we have compiled for you 5 cheap ideas that will get people talking about your event.

1. Hashtags!
Didn't we tell you it was cheapo?
An hashtag is the easiest tool you can use to get your event trending on social media.
Get folks to share your event using an event specific hashtag. Are you still there? Let's get tweeting, facebooking and hitting the gram with your event!

2. E-invites
Before you even start thinking of how to cover everywhere with banners and posters, why not start getting your event out by sending digital invitations to all your contacts and social media followers? Just saying.

3. T-shirts
Ha! You probably forgot about this. But it's everywhere. It's not a new idea, but you can trust it's a good one.
Create T-shirts with the event logo and/or necessary details and get people to wear them. Simple! And you don't have to create a thousand.

4. Giveaways
This is, well, gonna cost a little bit depending on your standards. But it's relatively cheap.
Get a competition running alongside your event on social media for people to take part in and win small prizes. Small o!
Who doesn't care to win a thousand naira in call airtime? What do you say?

5. Event badges
Just like the T-shirt, add your event logo with details to the badges and get people to wear them.

Starting out to make an event work is not always easy when the ideas are not forthcoming and there's no event budget in existence! This is when you need to get your event planner in to help set things in motion.
