SIMPLE KITCHEN TIPS:
1. Add Salt to Onions First
When frying onions, add a small pinch of salt immediately.
It draws out moisture and makes them soften and brown faster.
2. Add a Little Sugar to Tomato Sauce
If your stew is too acidic, add a tiny pinch of sugar.
It balances the taste without making it sweet.
3. Reheat Rice with Water
Before reheating rice, sprinkle 1–2 tablespoons of water and cover it.
It becomes soft again instead of dry.
4. Put a Wooden Spoon Over Boiling Pot
Place a wooden spoon across the top of a pot to prevent it from boiling over.
It breaks the bubbles before they spill.
5. Add Salt or Vinegar When Boiling Eggs
If an egg cracks while boiling, the salt/vinegar helps the egg white stay inside.
7. Soak Cut Potatoes in Water
If you’re not frying immediately, soak peeled potatoes in water so they don’t turn brown.
