Good morning, Great Minds!
Yesterday, I stepped out for field work, yes, to physically inspect a client’s event venue. Why? Because every event space has its own uniqueness, and before we can plan or even give a cost, we must see it, study it, and understand it.
Now, let me tell you something funny (but real) 😅.
Some clients think that event decoration is like buying tomatoes at the market 😂. You’ll hear:
"Hello, good day. Please, how much do you charge for a wedding decoration?"
Or, “How much for a burial or birthday setup?”
And they expect an instant price, just like that! Haba naa! 🤣. Things don’t work like that in this line of work.
At Akachukwu Event Planning Services, we follow a professional and thoughtful process:
1. We collect information about your event — type, date, location, theme, audience, preferences, etc.
2. We carry out a field inspection — to understand the venue layout, measurements, lighting, entry points, weather implications (if outdoor), and general logistics.
3. We have a conversation with you — to understand your expectations, taste, and desires for your special day.
4. Then we sit down and develop a detailed proposal, tailored specifically for your event. This proposal includes:
-The right design style and theme for your occasion
-The décor elements required (from entrance to stage,
sitting arrangements, photo booths, etc.)
-Timeline for ex*****on
-Manpower and logistics involved
And of course, the breakdown of the cost, showing how and why we arrived at the final figure.
So you see, price is the last thing we arrive at, not the first.
We’re not just decorators, we are event architects.
Like an architect doesn’t start building without studying the land, we don’t start pricing without understanding your event in full detail.
Yes, this process comes with its own challenges, especially when clients don’t yet understand the value of this approach, but I’ll save that gist for my next post! 😄
Thank you once again for choosing Akachukwu Event Planning Services, where every event is handled with heart, strategy, and excellence. 💫
