RECIPE FOR TOMATO PASTE

‎-Wash your fresh tomatoes
‎- Cut into two part and remove seeds inside
‎- add garlic and Bay leaves (Optional)
‎- remove seeds from your cayenne pepper (Tatashe) (Optional)
‎- Add some beetroot (for colouring)
‎-Cook everything together to soft
‎-Allow to cool then blend
‎-Sieve to remove any leftover seeds
‎- cook to reduce water
‎- Put in a cheese cloth and allow to stay for some hours or overnight to darin out moisture
‎
‎NB: 1. You can use only tomatoes and beetroot to make your paste
‎2. You can seal it in a nylon or silicone bag and refrigerate for storage
‎
