Ugoma, why didn't you inform us sooner? We are your parents, and although we are concerned, you can rectify the situation, said her father.

As Ugoma continued to conceal the marks on her face, her condition worsened. Occasionally, she would cry all night, fearful of disclosing her situation to anyone.
Sometimes, she would attempt to convince herself that she was fine, but she was not.

Ultimately, her parents decided to confront her , and they posed several questions to her.
In the end, they persuaded her to reveal the truth, and they were astonished by what they discovered. They were frustrated that Ugoma had not confided in them earlier.
However, the scars on her face had increased, accompanied by boils, and her once-smooth, beautiful face now resembled a rotten fruit.

Meanwhile, her friends Akun and Nina were delighted by the fact that people were shunning her. However, Ugochi was empathizing with Ugoma.
Whenever they were together, Akun and Nina would advise Ugochi to stop crying, attributing Ugoma's predicament to her own actions. After offering these remarks, they would smile at each other and depart.

However, they were unaware of the consequences that awaited them.
