my Aw discovered her calling after planning her sister’s wedding in 2005, from which Sugar & Spice was born. Wedding planning was always her cup of tea, however, these days - she creates and coordinates all events with the same attention to detail, tenacity and pizzazz, as if it was her own family affair. Sugar & Spice is proud to be on the recommended supplier list of some of the top wedding vendors in the country, which re-enforces our reputation in the industry. Dinner at Kebaya Dining Room was everything we love, intimate, spirited, full of heart.

Lucy and Thomas marched in to laughter and cheers, the room spilling over with warmth.
Speeches turned into songs, friends into performers, and every toast felt a little like poetry.

Between courses of modern Peranakan flavours, they moved from table to table, hugging, laughing, soaking it all in. Then came the cake, the champagne pop, the applause that carried long after the last glass was raised.

A celebration that felt less like a formality, and more like coming home.

The tea ceremony was Lucy’s way of honouring home, a gesture to her roots, her family, her story. Thomas embraced it with grace, blending heritage and heart as if it had always been his own.

A burst of colour against the heritage walls of Seven Terraces, music spilling into the courtyard, voices rising in harmony and laughter.

Friends sang. Family read words that felt like home. A bagpiper led the way, a nod to where they came from, stitched gently into where they were now. Every part of it was them, vibrant, unfiltered, alive.

We worked quietly behind the scenes as it all came together.
Layered, joyful, full of heart.

Laughter spilled through corridors, champagne glasses clinked against stories that had been told a hundred times before. Friends teasing, family lingering, everyone caught in that easy rhythm that only love seems to create.

It wasn’t staged. Just joy, unfolding naturally, a little chaos, a lot of heart. Lucy in her gown, surrounded by laughter and warmth; Thomas, steady and smiling, finding calm in the noise.

At Seven Terraces, the air held its own kind of stillness, thick with anticipation, light spilling softly through red shutters. Thomas stood waiting, steady and sure, while Lucy’s steps whispered closer, each one carrying the weight of a thousand tiny memories.

Morning unfurled slowly at Seven Terraces. Penang light spilling through shutters, laughter echoing across heritage tiles. Inside, Lucy and her girls gathered in silk robes and stories, the room alive with music, mascara smudges and half-finished coffees.

Someone misplaced the lashes. Someone danced barefoot. There were quiet tears too, the kind that surface when you realise a friendship has carried you all the way here.

Between the joyful chaos and soft stillness, we moved quietly in the background, fluffing dresses, steadying moments, making sure time felt slower than it was. These in-between hours, before the aisle and after the laughter, are where the heart of a day truly lives.

Just before dinner, the room came alive, the lights dimmed, the chandeliers shimmered, and for a brief moment, Jasmine stood quietly in the centre, taking it all in.

Jasmine sat by the window, light filtering through linen curtains as she penned the kind of letter that only two people who have truly grown together can write. In another room, Othniel adjusted his boutonnière, a small composition of blush and ivory, simple yet full of meaning.

We were there not just to manage the day, but to hold space for it, to make sure every movement unfolded with grace and ease. To let time stretch just long enough for them to breathe in the morning, feel the weight of it, and step into forever, unrushed.
