my Aw discovered her calling after planning her sister’s wedding in 2005, from which Sugar & Spice was born. Wedding planning was always her cup of tea, however, these days - she creates and coordinates all events with the same attention to detail, tenacity and pizzazz, as if it was her own family affair. Sugar & Spice is proud to be on the recommended supplier list of some of the top wedding vendors in the country, which re-enforces our reputation in the industry. Yi Qing’s morning began not with fanfare but with quiet love. A tender moment shared only with her parents as they gently helped her into her kua adjusting every fold with care and eyes that held more than words ever could.

In those few minutes before the doors opened there was a stillness.
A reverence.
A feeling that this was not just a wedding but a passing of time.
A daughter soon to be a wife.
A home about to shift in shape but not in love.

And then the house came alive.

Ashleigh arrived at the gate with his groomsmen in full force met by a wall of bridesmaids determined to test his devotion with laughter games and a whole lot of noise.

This is where we come in.

As planners we hold both worlds at once.
The intimacy and the energy.
The stillness and the storm.

We make sure the transition is seamless. The timing precise. The experience whole So that Yi Qing could have that moment with her parents undisturbed and still step into a celebration full of joy just minutes later.

From emotions that fill the room to the laughter that fills the house we are there for it all, guiding gently protecting space and letting the magic unfold.

A slow quiet start before the celebration began. The kind of morning where every moment feels heavier than usual because it carries meaning.

Ashleigh got ready in the presence of his parents.
His mother helping him into his outfit with careful hands.
His father by his side offering quiet strength.

These are the moments couples rarely think about when they begin planning. But when the day comes it is these in-between chapters that stay with you. It can be overwhelming, the emotions, the logistics, the silent rush of knowing you're leaving home to begin a new one. And that’s why we’re there. Not just with timelines and schedules but with intention and presence.

As planners we make space for these pauses.

We are there to guide but never to interrupt.
To gently hold space so that the groom can sit with his parents to breathe to feel to remember.

And when Ashleigh stepped out of that room he was ready.
Not just for the journey to Yi Qing's home but for everything their life ahead would hold.

And just like that… the most magical night came to a perfect close. ✨

As the party wound down and the music softened, the Sugar & Spice team quietly gathered guests one last time, guiding everyone out onto the lawn, sparklers in hand, hearts still full.

Anna & Michael took their final walk of the evening surrounded by glittering lights, glowing faces, and the people who love them most. It was emotional, cinematic, and so full of joy. The kind of send-off that feels like the last scene in a movie, slow motion, a little blurry, and completely unforgettable.

To our beautiful couple: thank you for letting us walk this journey with you. Thank you for your wild ideas, your trust, your vision, and your love. What a ride. What a night.

This one’s going to stay with us for a long, long time. 💫

This couple doesn’t do “standard.”

So instead, they smashed a piñata cake suspended under a disco ball, with petals and confetti flying through the air like fireworks. It was theatrical, hilarious, a little chaotic (in the best way), and oh-so-unforgettable.

It was one of those moments that had everyone cheering, laughing, and fully in it. Just like everything they do: dramatic, bold, and full of heart.

And as if the energy couldn’t go any higher, out came the champagne. A perfect pop (of course), followed by the loudest, most joyful toast with their favourite people up on stage. Glasses raised, arms around shoulders, and that feeling of “we’re exactly where we’re meant to be.”

At Sugar & Spice, these are the kinds of nights we live for, where tradition gets reimagined, joy takes the spotlight, and the couple stays true to who they are in every detail.

Anna & Michael, you didn’t just celebrate - you shook the room!

When we say Anna & Michael’s dinner reception was anything but ordinary, we mean majestic tropical opulence in full form.

Held in the ballroom of Rasa Sayang, the entire space was completely draped, transformed into an indoor jungle of lush textures and riotous colour. From the moment they made their grand entrance through that dramatic floral tunnel, you just knew, this was going to be a night to remember.

Anna & Michael didn’t want “typical” and honestly, neither did we. They were all about bold decisions, personal touches, and unapologetic flair. That bespoke stage design, the lights, the foliage, the energy… everything was them. The lighting cues, the music, the pacing, every detail was thought through to make the night feel immersive and full of personality. And of course, the two of them looked absolutely phenomenal.

One of our favourite things? The night wasn’t just beautiful, it was alive! From musical chairs that had everyone on the edge of their seats (and falling off them 🤭), to a full-blown treasure hunt that got the crowd laughing and moving, not a single guest was left unengaged. And when the formalities wrapped, the dance floor? Instantly packed. There was such a sense of fun, warmth, and connection in the air.

And somewhere in between all the sparkles and energy, we at Sugar & Spice were just quietly (and sometimes frantically 😂) making sure everything behind the scenes ran seamlessly. From early planning calls to mid-rehearsal giggles, and helping them find the perfect balance between elegance and eccentricity, working with Anna & Michael was not just a job, it was pure joy. Two humans who fully trusted us, gave us space to create, and made the whole journey so meaningful.

We’re walking away from this one with full hearts (and sore feet), and a very strong craving to do it all over again.

With crashing waves behind them and a technicolour jungle of florals framing the altar, Anna & Michael exchanged vows that were equal parts raw, romantic, and radically them. There were no stiff scripts, no borrowed lines, just two hearts baring it all under the sun, in front of the people who matter most.

Anna walked in like a dream, in brocade gold with a sweeping veil, while Michael’s embroidered coat brought a regal, theatrical touch that perfectly matched the energy of the day. And in between the laughter, the tears, and the heartfelt promises, the ocean breeze carried a kind of joy that you just can’t fake.

This ceremony wasn’t just beautiful, it was electric.

This isn’t your typical love story, and this definitely wasn’t your typical wedding.

From the moment we met Anna & Michael, we knew we were about to co-create something electric. A celebration that honoured tradition but bent every rule. That leaned into bold choices, powerful symbolism, dramatic fashion, and deep, personal meaning. Nothing about this weekend was cookie-cutter, and that’s exactly why we loved every second of it.

From Anna’s striking cheongsam moment surrounded by her ride-or-die crew, to Michael and his gents channeling serious main character energy, the vibes were immaculate, the emotions were real, and the love? Unmistakable.

Janice & Yuan Min’s wedding at 7 Terraces was the kind of day that reminds us why we do what we do.

We’re drawn to celebrations that feel personal, rooted in heritage, yet full of fresh energy, and this one had it all. The charm of 7 Terraces, the rich Peranakan details, Janice in a bold red cheongsam, and Yuan Min looking effortlessly sharp. Then came the lion dance to mark the start of their tea ceremony - majestic, symbolic, and so full of life. The kids were wide-eyed, the room lit up, and in that moment, it felt like time paused a little.
