Day 6 : Introducing " The Outsider's Edge " or known as TOE ( for short) was started way back in 2008 as a high-school project. Since then, the band has grown and coalesced into a more serious and fine-tuned unit: consisting of Dean Miguel Jackson (vocals and guitar), Farouk Kamil (2nd guitar), Mohd. Fattah (3rd guitar), Brian (bass) and Aiman ( drums). tOe‘s sound is an amalgamation of each of the member’s influences; drawing from bands like the Deftones, Tool and Incubus in their usage of heavy bone-crushing riffs to sublime washes of guitar ambience courtesy of Mohd. Fattah’s shoegaze and post-rock influences. Together, it sets a soundscape stage to the realist lyrics of life ; creating story lines in which the listener finds themselves emotionally invested in.
