Happy Holidays! Now that Thanksgiving has passed, I wanted to share a few photos from my table yesterday🍁

I used a sparkly orange-and-gold runner, glass pumpkins, and some faux fall florals to bring in that warm, cozy Thanksgiving feeling… even here in sunny Vallarta. 💛

🍁Happy Thanksgiving Eve, Celebrate Vallarta!

If you’re celebrating Thanksgiving here in Mexico, today is the perfect day to pull together those last-minute details — whether you’re hosting at home, heading to a friend’s place, or keeping it simple with a small gathering.

Here are a few easy ideas to make tomorrow feel festive without the stress:

🦃 Last-Minute Food Ideas:

• Costco PV has fully cooked smoked turkeys — pop it in the oven and you’re good to go.
• Make it a potluck: have everyone bring one dish they love. It takes the pressure off and makes the meal more personal.
• Need help fast? Local caterers can still put together small plates or sides for pickup — perfect for stress-free hosting.

🌺 Easy Last-Minute Decorating:

• Grab terracotta pots, oranges, candles, bamboo chargers, twine, or palm leaves for simple fall-in-Vallarta vibes.
• Mix tropical greens with burnt oranges or deep golds — it instantly feels warm, seasonal, and very PV.

🍽️ If you’d rather go out tomorrow:

Some great local spots offering Thanksgiving meals include:

🍹 A Delicious Thanksgiving Mocktail:

My favorite way to serve drinks:
Make one signature mocktail for everyone and set out a few bottles on the side so people can “build” their drink however they like. Easy, fun, and nobody feels left out.

🦃✨ THANKSGIVING IN PUERTO VALLARTA (HOSTING EDITION)

Hosting Thanksgiving in Puerto Vallarta is the perfect blend of cozy fall vibes and tropical coastal style. You can still get that warm autumn feeling using colors that are easy to find here — terracotta, deep orange, mustard yellow, gold, and earthy browns. Mix those with Vallarta touches like palm leaves, bougainvillea, seashells, bamboo, and twine to bring in a rustic, farm-inspired feel that still fits the beach.

For décor, grab fresh flowers and fruit from local markets — marigolds, sunflowers, limes, mangos, mini pineapples, or pumpkins if they’re available. Use woven baskets, bamboo accents, twine-wrapped napkins or jars, driftwood, candles, and bistro lights to make your table warm, natural, and inviting.

Outdoor hosting is perfect this time of year, and sunset shades (orange, pink, coral) look gorgeous on a PV Thanksgiving table.

For food, mix classic dishes with local twists: jalapeño cornbread, mango or pineapple cranberry sauce, calabaza-style pumpkin dishes, or a tropical-inspired charcuterie board.

It’s great if everyone can bring a dish, but if you aren’t from Vallarta, we have amazing chefs who can come to your condo or Airbnb and handle the cooking for you.

🌺 Why I Started These Pages — and What They’re Really About

Hey everyone 👋 I wanted to take a minute to share a little bit about why I started these groups — Celebrate Vallarta and Vallarta Swap & Sell.

When I moved to Puerto Vallarta, I fell in love with how this community celebrates life — birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, or just a sunny Tuesday with friends. But I also realized how hard it can be to find the right places, people, and little details that make an event personal.

That’s what inspired me to start Celebrate Vallarta — a space for sharing ideas, local spots, and inspiration for anyone planning something special here. It’s not about “perfect” events or big budgets — it’s about connection, creativity, and celebrating your way.

Then came Vallarta Swap & Sell, because let’s be honest — planning and decorating can get expensive! I wanted a space where people could buy, sell, or trade decor, DIY projects, and supplies — especially things made by locals or used for events. It’s about community helping community, keeping things out of the landfill, and sharing what we create.

Krafting with Krissy, grew out of that same love for organizing, crafting, and helping people bring their ideas to life — from decorating a celebration to setting up a new home. These pages are about community. A place where locals, travelers, and dreamers can come together, share ideas, and make magic happen in Vallarta. ✨
