Dana & John - seven years in the making, on the 40th anniversary of the day her parents first met, inside the same hotel where they began their own marriage.

Five looks. A ballroom from 1910. Vintage Dior. Barbies. Chicago hot dogs. His & Hers bars. A dance floor that quite literally never stood a chance.

But somehow, none of that compares to the energy.
The kind of night you wish you could rewind just to experience it one more time.

If you’ve met Michael, you know.

He’s not the quiet one.

He’s the energy in the room. The one keeping the momentum going, making people feel comfortable, and bringing a level of confidence that naturally puts everyone at ease. Whether it’s directing a room full of people, encouraging a nervous couple, or chasing the perfect light, he shows up with everything he has.

He’ll climb on furniture, lay in the grass, run across a venue, or do whatever it takes to tell the story the right way. Not because it’s dramatic but because every frame matters.

He’s endlessly curious, somehow always full of the most random facts, and constantly looking for a better way to create. That passion pushes not only his work, but everyone around him.

More than anything, he’s a leader. The kind who sets the tone, elevates the team, and makes people believe they’re capable of more than they thought.

The films are beautiful because of his talent.

Christine Janda Design & Events and CJE Designs brought this vision to life at the Union League Club - a reception that felt both grand and intimately curated.

Captured through motion, the evening unfolded with a cinematic rhythm - curtains opening for the reveal, candlelight flickering against deep midnight tones, every carefully layered detail coming to life in a way that felt immersive and transportive.

The kind of design that never chases trends because it already feels iconic.
