Likoma Island Festival

Likoma Island Festival Destination marketing for tourism and related investments at Likoma Islands through arts and tours.

Likoma Festival (Li-Fest), is an annual event which debuted in the year 2014 with the aim of promoting tourism Island as well as providing an opportunity for people to have fun, explore, learn more and interact. The Festival is a contemporary celebration of arts and culture with a strong focus on artists and traditional dances from Malawi and the rest of the continent.

We now have the National Arts and Heritage Council under which the National Arts and Heritage Promotion Fund has been established.

Arts and heritage promotions including the Likoma Island Festival will have the opportunity to access funding with guidance of the Council.

SEHAS Institute one of the leading Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) exhibited during the Likoma Islands Investment Forum during the festival.

They provide trainings at work places, setup OSHA systems at work places, offer diplomas and certificates for those interested in OSHA among others.

We demonstrated that the ban against thin, single use plastics must be implemented in full because it is hurting our fragile water and land ecosystems.
