This man says it all and there are more and more real DJ's (and i do not mean James Hype) who share PvD's opinion....

Tons of young kids did show up the last years, thinking they brought the rave to us, be it in Luxembourg or anywhere else in the World. Kids, the rave is there since the 80's and has never been gone, it was underground, it was meant to remain underground!

Electronic music was long smiled at by the Pop, Rock Metal people and guess, we were all fine with it, we wanted to remain underground.

Until, yes until social media took over, especially TikTok. We all know the result. Tons of "DJ's" popping up from everywhere. Anyone who can download or rip music, puts it on a USB Stick and calls himself a "DJ".

Kids it's more than that, it's not about your fu***ng ego and your likes, shares, streams!!! A Dj should entertain the crowd, push & pull it with the music he plays FOR THEM, not for yourselves.

Everyone thinks he's a James Hype while doing weird moves and hectic mixes...

Kids it's time to see the real meaning of DJ'ing, enjoy, have fun but most important: give those who come to listen to you an unforgettable night or day! Put your fu***ng phones and cameras away, leave the photographers in nature, cause there you can shoot real nice pictures ;)

And don't trust the stats on Spotify etc: likes, plays and shares can easily be bought ;)

Anyways Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my fellow DJ's, the real ones and the other ones ;).

PEAK is a rather young collective who put a heavy stamp on the local event scene. They organize a large variety of events through out the year. I had the chance to perform at their Warehouse Rave in Remerschen/Lux. in October. Take a listen & enjoy.
