ŠILUVA - the oldest in Europe Vatican approved St.Mary apparition site. St.Mary appeared here in Šiluva town (Lithuania) in 1608 (much earlier than Lourdes and Fatima). On the stones she appeared and wept Chapel of Apparition (white) was build and nowdays attracting many devouted Catholic piligrims from all over the world. Pope John Paul II visited and prayed in Šiluva in 1993. In front of the chapel there is a cute large square and the Basilica of the Nativity of the blessed Virgin Mary (red).
