Nicki Minaj has sparked curiosity about her faith after making a powerful declaration about Jesus before sharing a passage from the Bible with her followers.
The rapper first shared a message that read:
βIβve got my mind made up
And I wonβt turn back
Because I want to see my Jesus some day.β
The message was followed shortly afterwards by a post featuring Psalm 36, with Minaj writing: βThis is what the Lord is saying today.β
She explained that she would normally share the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible but chose the New International Version (NIV) because she believes it may be easier for newer believers to understand.
βIβd normally only post the KJV, but I think youβll understand why the NIV may cut through a little more to newer believers,β she wrote.
She concluded the message by telling her followers, βThe Lord richly bless you.β
Psalm 36 speaks about the consequences of wickedness and the absence of the fear of God while contrasting this with Godβs unfailing love, faithfulness, and righteousness.
The back-to-back posts have drawn attention to what appears to be an increasingly open expression of Minajβs Christian faith. Her words about having her mind made up and refusing to turn back, followed by her decision to share Scripture and encourage newer believers, have prompted questions about whether she is entering a new spiritual chapter.
Minaj has not announced that she is leaving the music industry or retiring from entertainment. However, her recent messages have placed a noticeable emphasis on God, Jesus, and Scripture.
For now, the rapper appears to be using her platform to share a message of faith with her followers β and her latest declaration is clear: she says she wants to see her Jesus someday.
