I wont lie there are times where I question how sustainable this job & lifestyle is for me with a family & lifes ups & downs but moments & feedback like this remind me why I do it. We have been a little offline as we went straight from awards into a week of 2 small & successful events.

We were overjoyed to win the Gimie Award for Event & Wedding Planner of the year on april 13 hosted by the SLHTA, St Lucia Tourist Association, The Ministry of Tourism & Hospitality & Events Saint Lucia. It was the first year we attended and our first time as nominees and we are thrilled to have taken this beautiful sculpture award back to By Charlie HQ.

Winning an award online is one thing -and flattering enough- but winning an award at a live, televised event from the country I love and based on merit & the sheer hard work of myself and my amazing team is a totally different experience and one that meant more than words can describe in an IG caption without it becoming a novel!

Thank you to everyone involved!

To those who planned & coordinated the event & their teams- it is NOT an easy job especially on that scale with the logistics required and rain to battle
To sandals lead by Chef Rene Cahane for the amazing food & service throughout including the wonderful waitress who heard me shout “dont take my soup” as we were called to the stage and made sure my food was still there on my return 🥰🤪

Thank you to the incredible emcees & and all of the live performers

And of course a huge thank you to the judging panel.

I was nominated alongside two other amazing planners who i have worked with before and i thank them both so much for their lovely words and well wishes both on the evening & since.

Most of all I want to thank my incredible team , our suppliers and vendors - without every single one of you i couldn’t do a this and this is our award not mine!!!

My family who were watching from home and evidently screaming Bonne Terre down-I 🫶🏽 you to the moon and back 🥰

And finally I want to thank every single follower, friend, supporter, clients past & present and every person who has supported By Charlie and trusted in me and the brand.Sending a lil extra love to those who are watching for other reasons too 🫵🏼👀😜
