One of the most severely affected fields in times of political, financial and health crisis is culture. With the loss of culture, uneducated people become subject to manipulation and exploitation just like demotivated and uninspired people are subject to depression and surrender.

With the decreasing resources and the scarcity of means, possibilities may look limited; yet that’s when creativity is challenged and reinvented.

Creativity is not limited to beautiful, “look-at” objects. It should address first and foremost, the need/program, the budget and the sustainable aspect, raising the challenge level from easy, to medium, to difficult, to finally genius.

Round the Corner and IGA are joining efforts to keep things rolling, regardless the pace and the deteriorating situation.

They announce their first mini competition for a design concept of a rural garden, with the hope to trigger the open call approach in a country where connections and bribing pave a better way than competence.
