The Future Growth Forum (FGF), in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kenya, officially opened the East Africa Halal Expo & Forum 2026, with participation from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) through the The Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries

This year’s edition brought together government leaders, international organizations, investors, businesses, and industry experts to advance halal trade, investment, standardization, and innovation across East Africa.

Under the theme “Halal Beyond Food,” the forum reaffirmed Kenya’s growing role as a gateway to the global halal economy and strengthened collaboration towards harmonized halal standards and increased market access.

Together, we are shaping East Africa’s future through investment, innovation, and strategic partnerships.
