Meet Dante.

A rapper and Perform Music Incubator alumnus, Dante is building his sound and finding his roots in Kisumu’s creative scene.

Through between Gweng Studios (MIT Gweng Session) a platform in partnership with Baraza Media Lab Kisumu, Dante had the opportunity to record an acoustic version of his music and bring a different side of his sound to life.

MIT GWENG SESSIONS SEASON 3 IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY !

Yesterday, Gweng Studios successfully hosted the first shoot of MIT (Music Inspired By Talent) Gweng Sessions Season 3 at Baraza Media Lab Kisumu.

The name MIT carries a double meaning:
🎵 Music Inspired by Talent – reflecting our mission to document and promote real, original music.
🍯 In Luo, mit means sweet – a fitting description for the music that filled the room and the spirit of collaboration that made the day possible.

This season marks an exciting partnership with Baraza Media Lab, with a focus on showcasing talent from the Sanara Programme: Perform Incubator while providing practical industry experience to emerging filmmakers from the FILAMUJuani Film Training programme.

🎤 6 artists (mostly Sanara Programme: Perform Incubator alumni) performed original acoustic songs.
🎥 5 FILAMU Juani students gained hands-on production experience.
