Participants can taste around 100 varieties of sake, from the gold standard of famous sake to the rarer regional sake not found in Tokyo.

Tokyo SAKE Collection2025～サケコレ＠アキバで日本酒～開催決定！ 日本酒飲み比べイベント「Tokyo SAKE Collection 2025 ～サケコレ＠アキバで日本酒～」を、10月4日(土曜日)、10月5日(日曜日)、の2日間にわたって開催いたします。

The final day of Tokyo Sake Collection 2024 will get underway in just a few hours time. Come and join in the fun from 1pm.

Best value ticket: 3,900 yen with 20 tasting coupons
or 2,000 yen for 10 tasting coupons
1,000 for an additional 5 tasting coupons

5,000 yen for guided tasting with a sake expert in English
(includes 20 tasting coupons and a souvenir sake cup)

Guests who joined the guided tasting commented that they never expected to learn so much and didn't realize how interesting sake is. The knowledge they gained helped them to get more out of the event. It was also great actually hearing from the breweries directly about their sake.

Yesterday at Tokyo Sake Collection 2024 was a roaring success. We managed to entice loads of foreign visitors off the street to come and discover sake and everyone went away thoroughly satisfied and with a newfound or deeper love for the beverage. Our English sake expert, Chris ran some guided tastings which offered an opportunity to actually hear directly from the various breweries about their sake (with interpretation of course). Umami-full, bold, robust sake was the surprise hit among guests. The event continues today and tomorrow, so if you are in the area, please stop by and say hello, and maybe even join the event. Guided tastings are now only 5,000 per person.

Meet the Breweries !!!

Tokyo Sake Collection is just around the corner, and over the next few days, we will be introducing the breweries who are showcasing their sake at the event.

As there is a slight anime theme to this event, we asked each brewery to recommend an anime or manga that they like. Sasaichi Shuzo in Yamanashi Prefecture recommended Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Sasaichi Shuzo (W1) (exhibiting on Oct 12,13,and 14)
360 years of brewing woven by the pristine waters of the Mt.Fuji water system. Their main brand is Sasaichi.

Featured Sake:
Sake name: Sasaichi Junmai Daiginjo Koshu Yumesansui
Type: Brewed with the pristine waters of Mt.Fuji to produce a mellow Junmai Daiginjo

Bonus fact: Yamanshi Prefecture is also famous for wine crafted using the Koshu variety which is native to Japan and the prefecture.

This is just one of the many sake you can taste with the basic ticket which includes 20 tasting coupons (the event's tasting currency).

As there is a slight anime theme to this event, we asked each brewery to recommend an anime or manga that they like. Ito Shuzo in Mie Prefecture recommended Nanotsu no Oozumi (Seven Deadly Sins).

Ito Shuzo (W6) (exhibiting on Oct 12,13,and 14)
Colourful and delicious sake crafted by an inventive brewery using a variety of techniques. Their main brand is Uzume.

Featured Sake:
Sake name: Uzume Part Goddess Level 3 Junmai Daiginjo Yamahai
Type: Full-bodied, with the flavour of rice and the acidity of Yamahai in harmony.

Bonus fact: Yamahai is the less labor-intensive version of an ancient method used to make the yeast starter that borrows the help of airborne lactic acid bacteria to make the mixture acidic and protect it from other wild bacteria and microbes.
