Madaba is home to the famous 6th-century Madaba Mosaic Map, preserved inside St. George’s Church. The city is renowned for its rich Byzantine and Umayyad mosaic heritage.
The map depicts numerous historical and religious sites, making it one of the region’s most important examples of ancient mosaic art. Madaba is also home to archaeological sites and ancient churches that tell the stories of civilizations that once flourished here.
