I’ve been using cold water immersion (CWI) since my days as a college athlete, playing three sports—especially football. After college, I spent six years as a marathoner before shifting back to CrossFit & Muay Thai training 3x a day to push myself. Through it all, one thing stayed the same: cold plunging.

💧 My Routine:
🔥 3 minutes every morning – This sets the tone for my day, boosting alertness, mood, and metabolism, while reducing stress and inflammation.
🔥 Contrast therapy (hot & cold) 1-2x a week – When I’m feeling sore, I use contrast therapy to speed up muscle recovery, improve circulation, and reset my body.

I love training hard and feeling great—but that’s tough when you’re constantly sore. Hot & Cold plunging keeps me consistent, energized, and ready to hit the gym. Some studies say it might be counterproductive for certain goals, but in my experience, I’ve never seen a drop in muscle growth, strength, or performance.

Now that more people are discovering its benefits—I encourage you to try it before you knock it. It’s not just about recovery; it’s a tool that enhances both physical and mental resilience. Ready to take the plunge? 🌊❄️

Some passions find you early, others come later—but when they hit, they hit hard. ❄️🏂

I fell in love with snowboarding later in life, and when I say love, I mean obsession. Next to music and DJing, it’s been my biggest passion. From the first time I strapped in, I was hooked. I rode every chance I got, completely consumed by the sport. I wanted more than just weekend trips—I wanted a life that allowed me to snowboard as much as possible. Now, almost 20 years later, I’m still chasing that same feeling every time I ride.

That realization sparked a major shift. I gave my two weeks’ notice at THE GYM in Montvale, leaving behind a stable job to take a risk. With their support, I opened my own Muay Thai kickboxing studio, Box Fit Muay Thai—my first real business. That move wasn’t just about fitness; it was about designing a life where I had the freedom to ride, travel, and chase my passion on my own terms.

That single decision shaped everything that followed. From being an owner/operator to stepping into corporate fitness with Life Time, Equinox, and beyond, every move built on that moment of choosing passion over comfort. Snowboarding may have been the spark, but it led to a career and lifestyle I never could have imagined. Funny how following what you love opens doors you never even knew existed.
