There’s something humbling about the cold winters in South Jersey. Usually, this is the time of year where things slow down after the chaos of wedding season and I’ll disappear somewhere warm for a few weeks. This year felt different. Instead of stepping away, I felt the need to lean in — catching up on everything that gets pushed aside when life moves fast.
This past year, between my DJ and photo booth businesses — with the help of an incredible team — we completed around 175 events across the tri-state area. Four years into building the photo booth business, it’s wild to see how far things have come. The numbers matter less than the progress.
Behind that growth is a much longer road. I’ve spent over 15 years DJing and building the life I’m living now — learning, failing, refining, and showing up long before any of it looked like success.
A lot of that happens behind the scenes: long hours, refining gear, refining myself, and caring deeply about the client experience. I’m learning that delegation isn’t optional, and building a team takes time.
Right now, I’ve got hard drives full of DJ videos, 20+ finished and mastered unreleased songs, and a to-do list that never seems to end. The focus is reducing friction so creativity and ex*****on can flow.
Let’s see what the year brings.
