Sh-Boom festival SH-BOOM ROCKIN' DOO WOP Spring Party ! Ma che cos’è il Doo-Wop?

Lo SH -BOOM rockin' doo wop spring party, nasce nel 2015 grazie all'asociazione culturale FUNHOUSE CLUB e da un'idea di Omar Marzioli e Stefano Zampaloni entrambi presidenti dei
RECKLESS e VAGABONDI Il Doo-Wop è un tipo di musica vocale nata negli Stati Uniti e divenuto popolare tra gli anni 1950 e '60, generalmente con un tenore come voce principale e un trio da supporto che crea l’armoni

a. Divenne molto popolare perché poteva essere intonato in tutti quei luoghi che avessero una buona acustica e dove un gruppo di persone potesse riunirsi. Ecco perché ritroviamo questa musica un po’ dovunque: nelle stazioni della metropolitana, nei bagni delle scuole, sul lungomare. Canzoni d’amore, con le loro semplici assonanze e armonie perfettamente bilanciate, segnarono l’inizio di un decennio musicale con gruppi musicali come i Regents, I Mystics, Dion and the Belmonts, etc. Il Doo-Wop ha rappresentato un genere fiorente e a partire dal 1956 è diventato un repertorio di grande fascinazione per i bianchi e, tra questi, soprattutto per gli italiani della east coast americana aprendo un capitolo della storia musicale degli Stati Uniti conosciuto come “Italo Doo-Wop” o “Italo-American Rock”. Questo genere musicale, così popolare negli Stati Uniti, è invece ancora poco conosciuto in Italia sebbene molti dei più grandi e famosi cantanti di Doo-Wop siano, appunto, di origine italiana. Il Festival Sh-Boom, che trae il proprio nome direttamente da una nota canzone del ’54 dei The Chords, è pensato non solo per appassionati e cultori del genere ma anche per un pubblico più generale.

Anche quest’anno il nostro salotto musicale ha preso vita direttamente dal Camping Medusa, con talk, chiacchiere, risate, caffè e drink sotto il sole dello Sh-Boom Festival.

Un ringraziamento speciale a Naima, padrona di casa alla seconda stagione del Café, col suo stile unico e la sua energia travolgente. Un grazie anche a Miss Aloha per la sua partecipazione, e a tutti gli artisti che sono passati per un saluto, un brindisi o semplicemente per condividere la loro passione.

La musica al centro di tutto, come sempre.

Once again this year, our cozy music lounge came to life from the heart of Camping Medusa, with live talks, laughs, coffee and cocktails under the shining sun of the Sh-Boom Festival.

A heartfelt thank you to Naima, the soul of the Café in her second season, for bringing her unmistakable style and contagious energy. Big thanks also to Miss Aloha for joining us, and to all the artists who stopped by for a chat, a drink, or just to share their love for music.

SH-BOOM DAY FOUR – LAST DAY
Domenica si è chiusa alla grande l’edizione #9: dopo il Jive Contest e l’East Rockin’ Race, il palco ha preso fuoco con i MFC Chicken direttamente dal Regno Unito. Un live al cardiopalma, tra saluti, ringraziamenti e gli ultimi brindisi di rito.

Siamo arrivati con un temporale notturno, siamo ripartiti sotto un doppio arcobaleno: se non è un segno questo… siamo già carichi per lo !

Nei prossimi giorni rivivremo insieme i momenti migliori dei LIVE con il nostro format "Sh-Boom Pills"… dunque STAY TUNED!

Sunday wrapped up our 9th edition with a bang! After the Jive Contest and the East Rockin’ Race, the stage caught fire with MFC Chicken all the way from the UK. A heart-pounding live show, filled with cheers, thanks, and the final toasts of the weekend.

We arrived in the stormy night, we left under a double rainbow — if that’s not a sign... we’re already pumped for !

In the next few days we’ll relive the best live moments with our format "Sh-Boom Pills"… so STAY TUNED!

Tensione alle stelle, energia pura sulla pista: il Jive Contest è stato un mix esplosivo di emozioni!
I nostri giudici — Teddy, Miss Aloha, Dado e Manu — hanno avuto opinioni diverse, segno che il livello quest’anno era davvero altissimo.

Il cuore che batte sotto ogni edizione dello SH-BOOM è la pista da ballo.

I nostri stage di Rockabilly sono diventati un appuntamento imperdibile: corsi pieni, energia alle stelle, e la storica gara della domenica che fa vibrare tutto il festival.

Grazie a Dado, Manu e Teddy, professionisti veri ma con la leggerezza di chi sa far divertire anche su un piede pestato!
Ogni anno sempre più coppie da tutta Italia si danno appuntamento per condividere swing, risate e passione.

Vogliamo parlare un attimo dell’Hawaian Party?
Sabato pomeriggio, sole in faccia e piedi nella sabbia: il nostro Hawaiian Party è stato un viaggio tropicale senza jet lag!

Tra camicie floreali, ghirlande e cocktail appiccicosi, sono arrivati loro, i WAKA-DOO: sax che spara fuoco, chitarre che fanno surfare anche i tavoli e un groove che ha fatto tremare la spiaggia.
Rock’n’roll da bere a canna, ritmo esotico e tanta, tanta gente bella.

Grazie a chi c’era, chi ha riso, chi ha sudato e chi ha urlato fino al tramonto.
Questo è lo SH-BOOM FESTIVAL!

Can we take a moment to talk about the Hawaiian Party?
Saturday afternoon, sun in our faces and feet in the sand: our Hawaiian Party was a tropical trip with zero jet lag!

Between floral shirts, leis and sticky cocktails, they arrived: the WAKA-DOO – fire-breathing sax, guitars that made even the tables surf, and a groove that shook the beach.
Rock’n’roll to chug, exotic rhythms and so many beautiful souls.

Thanks to everyone who showed up, laughed, sweat and screamed until sunset.
This is the SH-BOOM FESTIVAL!

La nostra storia / Our story

IT - Lo Sh-Boom Rockin' Doo W*p Spring Party è il primo festival italiano dedicato alla musica #DooW*p: un mix vocale di #RockNRoll e #RhythmNBlues diffusosi negli Stati Uniti dalle metà degli Anni Cinquanta. Il festival nasce nel 2015 grazie all'Associazione Culturale #FunhouseClub, da un'idea di Omar Marzioli e Stefano Zampaloni (Direttore Artistico), rispettivamente presidenti dei club #Reckless e #Vagabondi. L'obiettivo dello Sh-Boom Festival è quello di creare un evento unico nel suo genere e dare un palco a uno stile musicale nato nei vicoli e nelle strade. Dalla prima edizione a oggi si sono esibiti sul palco artisti nazionali e internazionali come: Freddy Velas And the Silvertones (Resident Band), Poison Ivy and The Steady, Johnny Gunner, The Roomates, The Sficatz Rockabilly, The New Angels, Lil’ Mo and the Dynaflos, The Boppin B, The Mystics, Rockin Em, Phil Haley and his Comments, Jarrod Coombes from the Firebirds, The Moody Sisters, The Skiliners, The Jets and The Extraordinares. Presentatori d’eccezione delle passate edizioni del festival Dr Feelgood e Miss Aloha e molti dj che si sono dati il cambio per far ballare il pubblico.
