Synthetic Mushdrum Darkwave solo project by Piero Cocozza, from Italy. Songs of broken love, recurring nightmares, dreamlike visions and reborn dreams.

Blending sounds from Coldwave, Minimal Synth and Post-Punk. Blending Coldwave, Minimal Synth and Post-Punk, Synthetic Mushdrum moves through melancholic and nocturnal atmospheres shaped by minimal drums, obsessive basslines and shadowy electronics. Piero Cocozza was also the songwriter and producer of Karma Shock, the darkwave duo formed with bassist Antonio Induddi, sharing stages with Diaframma,

Neon, Ash Code, SYGYZYX, Deus Ex Lumina, European Ghost, The Spoiled and more. After Karma Shock ended in 2025, Antonio Induddi returned in 2026 as a live collaborator, joining Synthetic Mushdrum on bass for selected upcoming shows as his schedule allows, with reworked Karma Shock songs also featured in the live set.
