A simple gesture — a selfie — lets visitors contribute their own facial features to an ever-evolving collective portrait. This is Faces: a new interactive audiovisual installation in which the audience becomes co-creator.

In 2025, Faces has been part of three very different international festivals: Visualia Festival in P**a (Croatia), GLOW Eindhoven (The Netherlands), and Kolding Light Festival (Denmark), maintaining the same constant: we are all unique, yet inseparably connected.

By collecting over 15,000 selfies and engaging tens of thousands of participants, façades were transformed into dynamic canvases: a mosaic of expressions, a reflection of the community. Faces is a system of participation and presence, where people continuously rewrite the urban environment, revealing a simple yet powerful truth: we exist as individuals only in relation to others.

Marcello Arosio had the honour of being among the international guests invited to the Spotlight Talks 2025, held as part of the Spotlight Festival , promoted by the Bucharest City Hall (Primăria Municipiului Bucureşti) through ARCUB - The Cultural Centre of Bucharest Municipality. The event brought together some of the most renowned international professionals in light art and had SYMBIOSIS as its main theme.

During his talk, the Marcello presented the experience of AreaOdeon and the Kernel Festival , also introducing the most significant and recent projects by Onda Studio.

Sound Safari: much more than a map!

The direct connection between geographical areas and sound content gives life to a new kind of interactive map, offering an innovative way to engage with the public and enhance the experience of exploring a physical space. Sound Safari, entirely designed and developed by Onda, is an online platform that lets you integrate geo-localized sound-emitting areas into your maps. With our advanced editor, creating maps is simple and intuitive, and you can easily embed them into your websites. End users can explore them directly from their mobile devices, with no need to download any app.
A versatile and highly customizable service, Sound Safari adapts to a wide range of contexts and applications—from tourism to events, from marketing to artistic projects—offering a unique and engaging experience.

After its participation at MUTEK Montréal this summer, great news follows: Laser Symphony has been nominated for the Videocittà Awards 2024 in Rome, in the Immersive Experience category.

Today, on December 14th, the Palazzo dei Congressi in Rome will host the fourth edition of this prestigious event, a cornerstone in the realm of visual digital culture. The evening will celebrate the most innovative talents and visionary projects in the field, awarding excellence in five categories: Creators, Immersive Experience, AV Performance, Video Art, and Next.

First created in 2016, Laser Symphony has traveled across international borders, with appearances in Poland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands and Canada. The installation continues to stand out as a focal point in the dialogue between technology, creativity, and audience engagement.

At the end of this 2024, after nearly 10 years, this marks a significant milestone and a meaningful recognition for us.

We officially opened Superconnection, welcoming nearly 120 guests at Spazio milesi last weekend. After a press conference and opening AV o audiovisual performance by the artist Vincio Siracusano we unveiled this unique exhibition where smartphones become tools to actively engage with both physical and digital realities, beyond just observing life.

The exhibition offers an immersive, interactive experience using an innovative web-based system that connects smartphones and AV technologies. Visitors can engage with the artworks by scanning a QR code, no app download required.

In Room 1, four interactive installations blend technology and creativity:

▪️In “Where are we going?”, visitors control the light on LED walls and spatial sounds, interacting with others in search of their own direction.
▪️ «Scratch and Win» offers a digital scratch card revealing a harsh reality.
▪️«Humming» lets visitors activate letters on screens, creating the sonic chaos of modern life.
▪️In «Faces», selfies are transformed into an endless digital collage.

Downstairs in Room 2:

▪️«Laser Echoes» offers a physical, shared experience: visitors interrupt laser beams, creating sounds and light patterns, and collaboratively composing a melody in an immersive space.

Superconnection is open to the public until December 14th at Spazio Milesi , located in the Porta Venezia area at Via F. Casati, Milan, from Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
